A Crawling Devil – Unhinged Poem

As I laid down upon the cavern floor,

I realised that death was with me no more,

a tear was ahead,

my life was saved,

a festive pardon,

a wisdom enslaved,

you saw my lies,

I told you more,

pathetic resolutions.

to simplistic home truths,

we wish for nothing,

we wish for it all,

I gave you nothing,

for you had it all…
