A Way to Walk
While I walk, I see forgiveness within me. I glance afar, to the furthest star, and still, I see the nature that forsook me—a waking kiss, bliss filled with piss, a savage moon on an endless tree. The cradle worn, the silken dress aplenty. I stepped, I ran, I crawled, and I bawled. The distance grew shorter as I grew small, woven in furniture, hidden in bread, the novelties of forever. A grievance unspoken, words unread, my crippled persona I see, yet I am dead, or perhaps just hiding away, beneath my bed, hiding from the words that I said…
