The Versatile Blogger Award

I wanted to make this worthy of sharing, I wanted to find for you some of the great people I follow, and share them with you, as well as sharing with you something about me, by the time I worked on my list I had been favoured with the award from another blogger, so, I will drag them down, together 🙂

Firstly I’d like to thanks both Shreyaloveswriting and The Cliffhanger Chronicles for their nomination, who both deserved the privilege of receiving their awards at these links Shreya & Cliffhanger, both in their own rights are versatile littler bloggers indeed, so please, if you get a chance head over and have a look at what they both have on offer, you might want to start here or here, if I’m suggesting anything and work your way around.

So, what does all this mean, well, lets look a the rules, because, of course, there are always rules 🙂

Rules to be followed:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you
  2. Share the award on your blog
  3. Share the seven random facts about yourself
  4. Tag 10 bloggers with less than 1000 followers and let them know they have been nominated

The first 2 are done, seven random facts about myself..

1. I co-hosted a radio show about movies for 5 years called How B Grade Movies Saved (or Ruined) My Life for a local independent radio station.

2. I stopped co-hosting the show because my daughter was born, thus the show ended a week later, never to return, but I would like to do another episode one day.

3. I live in Tasmania, a little island of the cost of Australia.

4. I spend only 45 minutes a day writing for my blog when I promised myself at least 100 minutes.

5. I read more than I write, but I don’t necessarily read what I write.

6. I sometimes forget to use full-stops and use commas instead.

7. My daughter is a massive Spongebob Squarepants fan, and, quietly, so am I.

On to the last, and most difficult part, the blogs I need to pass on to you, instead of writing about each blogger, I’ll give you a link to their blog, and then,a link to one of their blog posts I think is worth reading. There are plenty more I follow, but these are ones I thought I would share with you today.

So lets go.

  1. I am extremely flattered to be mentioned, and am equally eager to follow this up, there is a ‘however’. I suspect that there may not have been enough chlorine within my collective gene pool, but, how do I “Share the award on your blog”? More specifically, ‘my blog’? My apologies in advance for the inconvenience. N.

  2. Matt, you are gold. I’m currently seated at the Perth (WA) domestic airport, one of my kid’s is heading to Cessnock for the holidays, yet I digress. As I am typing one fingered on my long out of date phone, I will fulfil the aforementioned request once I have the laptop before me again. To the left, Tassie is God’s country. I lived and worked in and of Hobart for six or eight months in 1999, I lived in Sandy Bay incidentally. Anyway, I love the place and have returned many times since.

    Great stuff!

    1. Thank you, I’ve enjoyed and continue to enjoy your stories, they always have such a presence, you can feel them at time. Tassie is a great place to live, I’ve been here all my life, jumped to the mainland from time to time, but, I’m spoilt by the slow pace of this world 🙂

  3. Matthew – Thank You. I’ve noticed you’ve been reading my work and I’ve been reading yours. I JUST figured out how to tag my posts and therefore am slowly connecting with readers. And so please forgive me if I’m slow with “ping back” approvals; I have no idea what a ping back is. In fact, I was hoping to connect with you about how you did certain things on your blog, but I can’t figure out how to contact you!

Anyway, THANK YOU, is what I was trying to say. I really appreciate your support.

    1. Thank you, sharing your stories, putting your self out there is hard enough, but having to learn all that goes with it, well, that is another tasks as well 🙂 I’ve really been enjoying your story’s and have tried to make an effort to read two at the least a day, I’m getting there. If you have any questions email me at, I’d be more than happy to help if I can 🙂

  4. These are some interesting facts. I admire people who put aside the time to write daily. I work in fits and starts; maybe I should try to be more consistent. Also, thank you so much for including me in your list, taking the time to read my stuff and even choosing a specific piece to share with others. I really appreciate that!

  5. I wanted to take a moment and say thank you for the shout out and for sharing Widows Web with others. I am deeply humbled that you think enough of my writing to share any of it with anyone.

You def made my night soul. Thank you for the kind gesture and I hope you have an amazing night! ^_^

P.S.- Fatherhood is the best. 😉
