quiet was the light,
silent was the night,
over the rainbow of my dreams,
we saw the sights unseen,
we weathered the storm,
that was our lives,
we begged,
pleaded,
swore,
alive,
but not living,
the blindness of it all,
swelling onto our shores,
waves lapping,
seas swimming in the rotten,
a pulse,
purge me free,
the eye that was mine,
was not me…
