Years of an Eternity Swimming

A Twisted Verse by Matthew Tonks

Windows broken, moments soaking in,
a quiet shell inside the dollhouse skin.
Toys fallen over, faces swallowed thin,
I asked for something—anything—but forgiveness again.
The spoken song, the wishful tears,
a moment stretched to a million years.

Eternity struck and gone in a flash,
I stood in the middle, the calm and the clash.
Happiness sits like a sharpened doubt,
a stick in my chest waiting to be pulled out.

💬 Did this one echo?
Tell me—before it forgets your name.
