Through the Eyes of Tired Souls

A Twisted Verse by Matthew Tonks

Darling is limited, the stain not complete,
time loops on itself in a twisted repeat.
Woven through backward, forward, left and right,
a pattern drowning in its fading light.

Whimsical whimpers buried in a smile,
yet tired eyes betray the truth awhile.
We search insignificance trying to find
the shrouded echoes buried in our mind.

Eyes in the end last longer when they close,
grieving pistons swell in purple throes.
Engulfed in growth yet never quite enough,
the body mutters as the world turns rough.

💬 Did this one echo?
Tell me—before it forgets your name.
