Howard wipes the cascading waves of sweat from his brow with his grease covered forearm and hisses sharply as a sea washes into his eyes. He tosses his tools to the side and grabs handfuls of his torn shirt, pressing it firmly against his face. “FUCKING idiot!” he spits aggressively, as he pulls the fabric away and blinks repeatedly, then presses it against his face again.

She screams at him with an almost animalistic cry, and he casts a red eyed glare towards her, as she stretches her arms through the cage’s bars, trying to reach him. For a few seconds, when their eyes lock, she stands still and silent, staring at him as if she were somehow remembering who he was. Then as quickly as she stopped, she lets out a growl that comes from somewhere deep inside her stomach, and she launches herself forward once more.

“I KNOW! I KNOW! I’m almost done my love, and soon, soon we can be together again as I promised you we would! I just need a few more moments, and then you can let go of that dying meat suit.” he mumbles to himself as he drags the fabric across his forehead and turns back to the open chassis that sits on the table before him. He grabs his tools once again, and rolls his head across his shoulders, cracking his neck loudly. A gasp of relief escapes his lips, and he shoves the grimy handle of a screwdriver between his teeth as he thrusts his fingers deep into the engine, squeezing an eye closed as his fingers desperately feel blindly around, trying to catch a grip of a missing wire that hangs somewhere beyond his reach. His teeth clench tightly around the screwdrivers handle as he struggles to reach the wire, and suddenly feels a piece of something chip away and fly randomly off somewhere within his mouth at exactly the same time as he finally grips the cable. With panicked desperation he pulls the cable up, and like a baby being sighted for the first time by its mother, he lets himself part with an exhausted smile as he feverishly plugs the cable into the chassis manifold. It’s then that the foreign piece of material inside his mouth finds itself caught in the back of his throat, which causes him to dry reach. As he does, he stumbles backwards and hits the cage. For several silent moments he stands there disorientated, before he spits what turns out to be a piece of tooth, to the ground. His eyes grow wide with surprise, and he shoves several fingers in his mouth, feeling around frantically at his back teeth, while she digs hers into his shoulder at the same time. He screams in agony, as he fights himself free of her grip, and crashes to the floor in a bloody heap. He turns back to her with a fevered glare, as the blood quickly runs from his cheeks.

“W-W-What have you d-done?” he stammers as he gets to his feet and grips his shoulder gently, then hisses sharply with pain. “Y-Y-You’ve FUCKING k-k-killed me SUE!” he grunt as his face twists with pain. “You’ve FUCKING KILLED me and I’ve o-only finished you’re a-avatar, m-mine is still weeks i-if not months away f-from completion,” he says as he casts a wide-eyed gaze towards the curvy robot that lies before him, and the beginnings of another similar robot that lies on the table next to it. “GOD DAMN IT!” he yells as he grabs a curved piece of metal and locks it into place over the engine of the female droid, then turns to her with weary eyes. “I-I, I’m sorry,” he stammers as he grabs a long syringe which is connected to a laptop that has had several complicated upgrades made to it. He looks at her again as tears run down his cheeks and lets out a stuttered breath.

“FUCK IT!” he spits as he strides over to her and grabs her by the head, and holds her tightly against the bars, as she bites him again. He screams in agony as he thrusts the syringe into the top of her skull and strikes a key on the laptop. She lets out a high-pitched cry, as the room is engulfed in lights of various colours, then her head explodes, and he goes crashing to the floor.

The next few moments cascade into an overflowing handful of silent minutes without movement as the smoke slowly clears, until he eventually gets awkwardly to his feet, letting out a low animalistic growl.

“Hush now my love, you have brought me b-ba-zzz-ck from t-the dead, s-s-so, so, so now it, it is my t-t-turn to be the strong one,” the now functioning robotic woman says before screaming a barrage of unintelligible words then severs his head from his body.

  • The Wonderful Vast Push – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

The Wonderful Vast Push – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

    snowed-in beneath my sin,

I wished a tale of freedom tonight,

yet in it birthed an evil thought,

a thought that broke my mind in two,

    dreams escaped my shattered skull,

possessing the skin that covered the earth,

    invading its flesh,

    diseasing its soul,

joining the soil that was muddy and stale,

    the sun didn’t shine,

    the earth didn’t spin,

the world collapsed under the weight of my sin,

    a nether was,

    a could not have been,

    forever was never,

    my sin,

    my sin..

Drunk In The Devils Post – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

    A wayward hand,

    lost in time,

    stroke the post,

    for the devil is mine,

    sing the song,

    we want to sing,

    and in the end,

    the end will be,

    sunken in,

    the stench is me,

    broken levels asunder,

split within the roots of trees,

    woven injuries carved with intent,

not strange in a strange land,

    yet a place familiar instead,

    a room of white,

    walls drenched in red,

    a sea of memories,

    lies inside my head…

  • Broken Harvest In Blue – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

Broken Harvest In Blue – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

    stories told through blind eyes,

    listening to the lies,

    a sceptical decision,

    haggard wisdom dies,

    plague devoured his wicked words,

    lost in valiant hands,

    struggled to see within,

    when beats of hearts,

    unlike the cards,

    holding tightly,

    clutched beneath the suit,

    a ace in the hole,

    spades dressed to kill,

    jump ship,

    feed the shark,

watch it slither in the dark,

feel the teeth tear the flesh,

    as we go home,

    and restart…

Under The Straw Stalk – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

    weapons told as lies,

a straight path as the world dies,

    flowers in the dark,

    mushrooms fail to grow,

    a pox on the disease,

    fungus venturing deep,

    we plant the pretty tree,

    while it’s leaves wither away,

    green hopes are true,

    wicked memories of you,

    a sea of waves,

    wash me away,

    the jetsam of flotsam,

    midstream leakages,

to give a hope lost in my dreams,

denial woven in the lines of dialogue I wished to say,

but time heals none of it,

    for there is no wound,

    just me…

    Haiku #Five

    He strove to be one

While the world withered at his feet

    Then time was no longer

    Held in a world beyond

The gates of hell served no one

    A door is a door

    Open the hand that feeds

Give it power and see it bleed

    Reflections of once what was

    My focus is never mine

Sprawled before me my mirror was lost

    Spin the bottle and see

Feed the self as we are done

A Left Turn Right – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

we strolled along the devils path,

    towards a certain death,

    but we turned right,

    when we should’ve turned left,

    the sticks that were stones,

    broke all but the bones,

as we let is all go,

    under and over,

beneath the winding waves of a world gone away,

    proving the struggle,

    avoiding the facts,

    we stutter and we tumble,

    we crumble and we decay,

    and wither away..

Fate Of The Three – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

    Woken in the state,

    a star was given form,

it polarised the world at bay,

    stopping it in its tracks,

over and over the darkness rang,

    while the sun forever set,

    underneath the devils dish,

    broken in a wicked sin,

    new woven sleeves,

    buried below the soiled earth,

    capsized wager,

    I gave a breath,

    while he closed his eyes,

and gave me wings to fly away…

Out For The More – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

    words are escaping,

    the hole in my head,

    the sin of my sickness,

    a layer of skin shed,

    open and closed,

    my mind is a door,

    my eyes are the windows,

    my mouth is the whore,

    splintered flesh,

    wooden core,

    broken in the ebbs,

of a sea in the floor,

    we are for the moment,

    we see in well,

    a fish that cannot swim,

a light that does not win,

    purposed writings on pages wet,

    you said the desires,

    and they were met,

    but never set,

told through the sin of one,

    birthing children to a whore,

the proud man lies with the serpent,

    while the whore,

I Was Never Lost – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

    Sew in the sleeves,

    keep the sheep away,

    shaved their flesh,

    shed their skin,

for the meat of the many,

    lies within,

    a sea of red,

    a bothersome tell,

    stories of sinners,

    winners are liars,

    broken aplenty,

    caught in the fires,

    I poked the nest,

    spoken in rhymes,

    I hid in the well,

    dwelling beneath you,

    waiting to be,

    swallow you downward,

for your hell  is within in,

    dwelling beneath you,

for you hell is within me!

A Want To Be Done – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

    lake filled with fire,

    blood on my hands,

    past the point of punishment,

    we ventured onward,

    upwards and out,

    wisdom washing over us,

    oiled geek gods,

    polished knobs,

    yellow sticky goo,

    yet a waiting,

as the sea raised with us,

    over and over,

    around and around,

    everything went under,

    then it drain out,

    like water going down,

    sucking the life,

    for two days,

    and in flight,

    then nothing,

    but night…

Placed On The Skull – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

    We misbegotten the sun,

    yet it shined down,

    without focus or whim,

    I saw the longing,

    that you looked upon him,

    he as a child,

    but not your son,

    not that you had one,

    not that you could,

    a middle finger by life,

    stuck up in your face,

    you sullen,

    you plotted,

    you tried,

    and you brewed,

    stolen,

    snatched,

    taken,

    past the ending,

    for the start was wrong,

    newspaper wording scribbled in sin,

    you asked the favour,

    over the waves,

    a bloody mess cut open,

    woven flesh,

    rotten sin,

    bones broken open,

    screwed to the self,

    nailed to a tree,

    chewed on by others,

    sucked from the bone,

    fatty marrow all meaty,

    tomorrow we see the reflection,

    the changes unknown,

    we see the decay,

    as it seeps in smile,

    we asked the ending,

    thank you,

    a while,

    prove me the difference,

    take in the slice,

    webbed footed sitting,

a burning shell of what it was,

    but broken was the madness,

    lost was the sea,

burden on the hands of we,

    but your not mine,

    lost in a cycle,

    a cycle in decline,

    forgot the ending,

but that’s the fault of the beginning,

for I wasn’t what you wanted to hear,

    a cycle in decline,

    I am Was – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

    Serenade a song,

sing it through the shallows of where we all belong,

    past coming forward,

    seas washing back,

    my last tangled voyage,

    a logistical nightmare,

    cries lost in the void,

    coat hangers hanging,

    cupboards all bare,

    willow wished sermons,

    my name said in scrawl,

    seven sinister shadows,

    prudent is my recourse,

    father haggard the demon,

    my bed became my home,

    a wisdom for coming,

    a silhouette of a man,

    my eulogy,

    withered in woe..
