listening to the lies,
a sceptical decision,
haggard wisdom dies,
plague devoured his wicked words,
lost in valiant hands,
struggled to see within,
when beats of hearts,
unlike the cards,
holding tightly,
clutched beneath the suit,
a ace in the hole,
spades dressed to kill,
jump ship,
feed the shark,
watch it slither in the dark,
feel the teeth tear the flesh,
as we go home,
and restart…
