Broken

Did you know this was coming,

did you see it?

Or was you always a part of it?

are you like the words,

just pieced together to distract me,

to keep my mind somewhere else,

when really,

you were it’s tool,

you were it’s weapon,

thrust towards me,

flesh instead of steel,

did you know you broke me,

when you left me,

and it grew,

until the day,

when I found out the truth,

when I found you.

Have you read the first six parts of The Roundhead? I know they’re a bit longer than most of the things on my blog, but I promise, they’re worth it.

You can find part 1 HERE, part 2 HERE, part 3 HERE, part 4 HERE, part 5 HERE, and part 6 HERE. But make sure you get in quick, as the final piece of the puzzle is only a day away and I’d hate for you to fall behind before the end.

  1. This stopped me in my tracks. I love your writing for its capacity to do that.
And I AM falling behind with Roundhead. But I kinda like the idea of reading it like a book. Looking forward to being creeped the hell out 🎃

    1. Thanks so much, they are a demented mess, but, all the poems sort of work together as one, glad your enjoying them. And the story is better is the complete narrative, as it runs fairly fluid from 2 onwards a small gap of an hour or two between 3 and 4 and then runs all the way to the end 👍
