Winchester Rides The Shotgun – Castration Within The Rabbit Hole

Worn and suffocating, a pillar of human madness, a throne of perpetual silence, wisdom comes and goes, words lose translation, dangerous agendas hidden from myself, a mirror reflection, a photo kept, I asked the question with words unrelated, the kiss upon thy forehead, sedation, kindness, asleep at the wheel while the driver keels over, an older man takes over, his wickedness worn like clothing, no choice, no regrets, a window in the soul of madness..

Sacrifice The Saint Stealing Blitzkrieg – Castration Within The Rabbit Hole

I whispered in the dark to rid myself of the words unsaid, letting go of the past in hope of something more for me, a fundamental change within myself must rhythmically remove itself from my form, a dance unlike any other, brandishing my heart strings, feathering my nets, a severed hand without fingerprints, my code forgotten, doorways locked and impenetrable, we cuss, we curve, fondness, kittens, whispering whimsical words to deaf ears unheard, I saw a yellow scorpion, it’s venom burns, tail strong, teeth, recipes for hopelessness, are you a dying swan, or am I a mirror cracked upon my skull of misery, woe is words, deception is me….

Stop Pretending In Your Head – Castration Within The Rabbit Hole

It’s the simple things that matter,

not the way you check out but the way you check in,

there ain’t no score board when your dead just a new beginning,

separate today from tomorrow with a whisper of yesterday and you’ll be partway there,

    it ain’t an ending,

    it’s not another chapter,

yesterday can’t be changed by tomorrow especially when you’re dead,

    so celebrate and cheer,

because today there ain’t no fear,

    stop pretending in your head,

    because life just don’t care!

No Sense Of A Cure – Castration Within The Rabbit Hole

    Fancy a sickness,

    Fancy a few,

We play this game without knowledge or rules,

    We tip toe,

    We rush through,

    We two and we thro,

    A yesterday not remembered,

    A today not fulfilled,

    Tomorrow was out destined path,

But it ended in a fated fate,

    A call,

    A destiny,

One that could not be ignored,

    Or cured…

Drain My Infected Appendage – Castration Within The Rabbit Hole

With a passion lost comes the sun that does not shine,

For a footing of surface did fall beneath thy feet,

As the life that dragged an emptiness from within begged a question not asked or seen,

She said the sky was not mine to swim beneath,

Brandishing me with a mark unasked for and unearned,

With the mark came substance and malice,

With the mark came their hatred,

They said the light was not mine to bathe in,

So my fist became my voice,

And violence my weapon of choice,

Their blood seeped into wounds their broken bones made in my flesh,

    Diseased was their linage,

    Decaying was my sin,

    A pyre of dreams,

    Flames burning away,

    My pittance,

    My vengeance,

    My tormented soul…

A Provision Lost Without Rhythm – Castration Within The Rabbit Hole

    Fist clenched drenched in vomit,

Handed down the path less void,

Boils squeezes to pus filled ends,

Rashes spread from foot to head,

    Vile fiends given fleshy life,

    Dreams of nightmares taking flight,

    Wasted lives,

    Shattered thighs,

Bloody stools pushed through arseholes clenched,

    We think we’re immortal,

    We think we’re gods,

    Life comes for us all,

    Death sits upon its throne,

    Waiting,

    Wanting,

Knowing it’s fill will never be satisfied,

    A star,

    A sun,

    Forever and none,

    We are but moments,

    We are but few,

    Significantly insignificant,

    Enough but not…

Cruel Tactics Warm Cold Hearts – Castration Within The Rabbit Hole

Septic washes ravaged through the door of sincerity,

Bashful smiles flung around so casually,

    A whimper not a scream,

Delicious dreams bathed in strawberries and cream,

We are the lost night that burns while the world around us churns ever forward until it’s end,

I saw with the eyes planted in my head,

The breathless warnings of the dead,

    Sorrow brought through funeral pyre,

    Blessings given,

    Fire,

    Cleaning,

    Wash the slate clean,

Dirt thrown over long dead eyes sewn shut with polyester thread,

    We of today,

    Those of yesterday,

Bow down to the tomorrows we have shaped,

For we are the last and they are the least,

We are the watches of our own failed hand,

    We are deaths witness…

The Rod Of God – Castration Within The Rabbit Hole

    Pretty petty situation,

    Soak the soldiers blood,

Suffer the separation of serpents fire,

As the harrowing haggard hovels wither away like a dark grimace on the face of forever,

Be the moment given and strike the blow of jubilant cries,

Focus the mighty arm of Zeus as you stroke the hardening tool between the unkempt locks that flow from your gut,

    Live and liberate,

Succulent vibrations given life as we forget to remember while remembering to forget,

    Don’t sing,

    Don’t dance,

    Don’t regurgitate,

    Flesh dies,

    Life ends,

    Repetitive signals absolve the insanity,

    Forever the migrant,

Lost in the endless minutes passed from mother to child as they are bore from the womb that the father worshipped with his rod of god….

She smiles, then picks up one of the small nails from the table and gently holds it against the bloody hand.

“Now, I know I said I was going to stop, that I was going to leave you alone and move onto something entirely different from the little ecosystem we have created here, but…” She says as she brings a hammer down onto the head of the nail, driving it into his hand.

He lets out a muffled scream, as he twists up his nose in defiance, staring at her with deathly remorse.

Her smile broadens, and she giggles like a schoolgirl would when being wooed by the boy of their dreams. “Look at you! Look at you shine!” she says with exasperated breath. “I have spent a many a long moment priding myself on perfecting my skill set, not only to be the complete package I so desire myself to be, but also so I am truly a dread for all who come and sit before me. Of course, you know this, because it’s how I sold myself to you the day I walked into that little two-dime whore house you used to work out of. Do you remember that day like I do, or do you sit there regretting it now?” she asks with a slight tilt of her head, as she looks curiously into his hate filled eyes.

He slowly opens his trembling lips, and twists his jaw around in a clockwise motion, then anti-clockwise, before licking his lips, never breaking eye contact. “I couldn’t care less for that day, it was not unlike any other day I had lived before, and it did nothing to change my path. I…”

“LIAR!” she bellows, as she brings the hammer down on his hand, shattering two of his fingers in the process. She presses her lips together tightly and swallows a dry mouthful of air. “Liar,” she hisses.

He forces a smile onto his lips, while his eyes berate her with a tirade of verbal abuse. “Y-Y-Y-You need to come to the realisation, my pretty little butterfly, that you are nothing in the wayward scheme of anyone else’s life, but your own, and when you come to that realisation, you may truly be great at this job. Until then, you will always be the little rich girl who begged me to teach her how to manipulate pain as a weapon, so she could teach Mummy and Daddy for not loving her enough.”

She sneers, then brings the hammer down again, smashing the other fingers on the same hand, then in the same movement drives the head of the hammer into his right kneecap, causing him to scream out in agony. “THERE YOU ARE!” she roars with wide eyes.

He rocks his lips across each other, tightly closing his eyes for a few moments as he forces his tongue around inside his mouth, forcing it up into the top corner, and dislodging one of his own teeth. A powder spills out onto his tongue, and he lets out a stuttered breath, before opening his eyes once more. He stares at her with a half-arsed smile, then lets out a sharp hiss. “W-W-When you look back on this, remember you failed,” he says as he starts convulsing violently.

She grips him by the hair, and pulls his head back, snarling in his face like a rabid animal, “When you get to where you’re going, know it won’t be far enough!” she hisses, as she smashes him across the face with the hammer, firstly dislocating his jaw, then ripping it from his skull as she continues to hit him with the hammer repeatedly.

  • Some Seconds After – A Short Story For My Mum

Some Seconds After – A Short Story For My Mum

In the early hours of the morning, on the 15th of December 2020, my Mother released her hold on this mortal coil, and passed peacefully in her sleep. You could say the timing was by her hand, and she was from all accounts pain free, unlike the months prior. She was stoic in every way throughout the process, once given the facts that her fate was written to paper and not an eventual thing that will happen to us all. I had only a handful of conversations about it with her, not because I didn’t have the chance to, but because the necessity was not there. I love my Mum, and miss her everyday, but I know one day I will see her again. I’m not religious, I don’t have a belief structure that I follow, but I know there is something after this.

This story is for my Mum, it is how I like to believe things took place on that morning.

    I love you Mum xoxoxo

    Matt

She stands before the doorway, silently watching as they move around her in what one may mistaken for some nickel and dime theatre companies latest abstract masterpiece.  She squeezes her tongue through her purse mouth, wringing whatever moisture from it, as she tries to wet her dry cracked lips.

“Why do I still hurt?” she hisses with a scowl upon her face.

“You have not lifted the pen from the paper yet my dear. For you are not really feeling pain, you are just imagining it hurts because that is how your mind has become trained. It will take time to forget, but you will, once you lift the pen.” he says with a soft smile, as he grasps her shoulder tightly.

She looks over to him as she rests a hand on his, and gives it a squeeze, then looks back to the others with eyes shrouded in sorrow. “Will they be okay?”

“That is no longer your burden to carry anymore. Let them go, so you can as well.”

“B-B-But, I’m not ready to,” she says as she looks to him with tears in her eyes. “I-I-I, I don’t want to be forgotten. I-I-I, I don’t want them to forget me.”

“They will grieve, and in that grief, in that pain, they will prosper and they will NEVER forget. For in death, grows the perfection of the eternal memory, where we are remembered forever by those we love, and who love us,” he says as he gestures to the air before them.

“But what of the pain I still have? What of my grief for them?”

“It will prevail, and over time it will heal. Although unlike those you have left behind, you have the knowledge they do not, you know what awaits. You have the forever of tomorrow to look forward to, and when they pass, they will join you here. They will join all of us, one day, but for now,” he says as he holds a hand out for her to take. “It is time for you to go.”

She looks back at them, and places a hand against her chest, clutching herself tightly. “I-I-I, I don’t want to GO!”

“No one ever does, but it is time, and time has a finite path. The others are waiting,” he says.

She looks back over to him as her eyes widen, “A-A-Are they all there? E-Everyone?”

He smiles, “Everyone is there, and they all can’t wait to see you.”

She looks back and allows a soft smile to gently caress her lips, then turns and takes his hand.

“How long will it all take?”

“How ever long it takes,” he replies with a smile as he pushes open the doorway and they step out into the hall. She manages to turn just as the door closes and catches one last glimpse of the body that housed all she was for the last seventy years, and waves goodbye, then looks up into her father’s eyes and smiles.

He nods his head towards a bright light at the end of the hall. “Race you there!” he says, as he looks down at the little girl all dolled up in her pink dress. She giggles loudly as she races off, towards her forever tomorrow…

5 Minute Horror Story – Thrice Upon A Mistake – First Short Story From A Twisted Kiss On New Years Eve 2018

“A facsimile of a lie is what you are Devon! Nothing more or less. Your existence began with a mistake, and so will that be your end!” Silas hisses, passion surging from his words.

“Always you come back to the night you laid with mother. Always the same shit flows from within your failing husk. Throw away these words father. Embrace a new way of thinking and come with me to a world twisted to unyielding power that burns within our lineage. Turn this mistake, into an unquestionable release of the real truth!”

“I’d rather burn at the stake than to cast my all in with you. I thought I’d made that clear the last time we met!” he hisses as he gestures towards where Devon’s left eye used to sit.

He smiles, “like all good sons, I forgive my father without prejudice. For he is the one who’s seed gave me life.”

“A mirror cracked. Blood splattered across the wall. A world crying out in agony. Seas of fire burning everything. These things I give care about, but your fate I do not. So go sing me a lullaby. go break the walls of reality down, just don’t expect me to be there by your side. Expect me at your throat with a blade pressing against your skin, slowly slicing it open to allow your life-giving blood freedom!”

“And I love you too, father,” Devon says as he spreads his arms and lifts from the ground, the room shakes violently, and a volatile vortex of wind pushes itself around the small area. “HOW BITTER AN ENDING YOU MUST NOW FACE. BUT KNOW THIS, IT WAS YOUR DECISION NOT MINE!”

“That’s where you’re wrong, it’s always been headed towards this moment since the day you escaped through your mother’s innards. Though your birth was a mistake, it was still for-told in the ancient text of your ancestors, as is your ending.”

“Tell me father, in these so-called ancient texts you speak of, was your ending written as well? Please excuse my abruptness with the question, but I’m asking for a friend,” he says with a wicked smile upon his face.

Hello To The Tomorrow – Unhinged Poem

    See the dawn shine,

    as the new day comes,

    we wish for dreamless sleep,

    no images in my head,

    I was alone with me,

my pain something not my own,

    it was shared about,

given to everyone who touched her soul,

    I was not without,

I was lost within a sea,

    look and find,

searching for a reason to breath,

my words don’t mean a thing,

    suffocation a daily demise,

    I cannot forgive,

the selfishness I am feeling inside,

I have no choice but to open my eyes,

and see that it’s just not me,

    we all feel drained,

    and in that sadness,

    we will all find ourselves,

    but right now,

the pain won’t let us see….

See The Images – Unhinged Poem

    Let the images become you,

as we see the end of the day,

    falling into a yearning,

giving away the change of what was,

and letting it become what will be,

    a difference in thinking,

    tomorrow is not for us,

    tomorrow is only for me,

    yesterday was a memory.

today is soon to be forgotten,

    the pain a window,

    my soul bleeding,

    poison me bitterness,

    nursing my sorrow,

    your smile was my reward,

but all the images are no longer new,

    just memories,

    memories of you…
