Faded Flesh

Time is reset,

as we’re made to relive,

the story again,

over and over,

each moment,

each choice,

remade,

replayed,

obstacles changed,

trusts betrayed,

the beast makes its move,

and plays its hand,

but so do we,

death,

is fluid,

as is life,

for our sins,

we will fight,

in faded flesh,

to get,

into,

the light.

Have you read the first seven parts of The Roundhead? I know they’re a bit longer than most of the things on my blog, but I promise, they’re worth it.

You can find part 1 HERE, part 2 HERE, part 3 HERE, part 4 HERE, part 5 HERE, part 6 HERE, and part 7 HERE. So, make sure you get in quick, as the final chapter is almost upon us..

  1. Decisions, decisions: and then we think about them, again and again. The garden of bifurcating paths and what-ifs!

    1. What could have been verses what is, the road not taken, what could be ours, what is. Perplexing at the best of times.

      1. I know: I’ve walked that road many a sleepless night. Emigration will do that to you!

      2. The wish, to be able to know, that the right choice was made, to see the other side, when in reality, the choice was made, but sometimes, not the acceptance of it 👍
