Day 133 – Excuses – Black Label Short Story

He grips her hair, pulling it back, and begins to lick his way up her chest, along her neck and over her chin, coming to a to stop at her mouth and she swallows him. They twist and turn together in their nakedness, each meeting the others thrust, as they become more like a living, breathing machine than two separate bodies. She lets out a gasp of pleasure and he thrusts harder and twists her down onto the bed, pulling himself from within her and quickly burying his face in her crotch, she grabs his head, grabbing a handful of hair and pushes him down deeper, she arches her back, letting out another gasp. He picks up his pace as she squirms and moans, more and more, her breathing begins to quicken, her body tenses, her eyes shut tight, and she bites into her bottom lip.

“Now!” She says, quickly he moves up, along her body, they kiss as he penetrates her again, rubbing her clit with his fingers as he thrusts his hard, blood engorged member back and forth within her. She digs her finger nails into his back, ripping them down as she quivers with anticipation, frantically matching his thrust, until she lets out a satisfied cry. He thrusts harder, faster, until he too joins her in orgasm, they both let loose with cries of exhilaration and ecstasy, as they both collapse, exhausted and spent, on top of each other. For a few moments all they can do is breath, both still coming down, until finally, she breaks the silence, grabbing him by the hair and pulling his head up, to face her, so she can stare into his pale blue eyes.

    “What the hell was that?”

    “What?”

“That? How in the fucking hell didn’t I know you could do that?”

“You never asked,” he says with a smile.

“Yeah, but I was good friends with Gloria and Louise, and all the rest of your floozies. None of them have ever said you were this good.”

“Maybe they didn’t kiss and tell,” he says with a laugh.

“Believe me, they all kiss and tell, all of them, but whenever it came to you, they would never say anything like this, they’d just brush it off and change the subject like you were shit or something, so what gives?”

“Maybe they were worried you’d try to move in on me.”

“What? I doubt it, you and me, there’s never been anything, well not until now that is. But before, we’ve only ever been mates, real good mates, but only mates, not this,” she says as she plays with his earlobe.

“Maybe they saw something that we didn’t?”

She sits there for a few moment and runs her hand through his hair and smiles as she lies back down on the bed, “Maybe,” she says as he slowly moves a hand down her stomach, towards her groin. “Really? Round two already?”

“There’s no sense in waiting around, is there?”

“I thought you needed to cram for your interview tomorrow, wasn’t that why you came over in the first place?”

“I can cram later, something else has come up,” he says with a smile as he goes down on her again.

“Well then, there’s no sense at all, is there?” she says as she pulls the sheets over their heads.

“I’m not stupid, fucktard! I know how it works, just give it to me!” he says, grabbing the golden goblet from her and greedily swallowing it’s contents.

“Okay, but I needed to make sure you understood that asking the devil for a favour is not as simple as it sounded.”

He wipes the liquid from his mouth and tosses the goblet to the ground and lets out a loud burp, “Stop worrying honey, I’ve got this sorted honey,” he says as he slaps her on the arse and squeezes, pulling her against him. “Now, how about we fuck?”

“I told you before Frank, I’m…” But she doesn’t get to finish as the room suddenly quivers, the walls crack, the floor bends, and the temperature rises.

“What the fuck?” Frank yells as he crashes to the floor in a heap.

“He’s coming, he’s answering your call.”

“Seriously? You mean this shit is for real?”

“Of course it’s for real, didn’t you understand that? Isn’t that why you’re here?”

“I was here because I thought we were going to fuck, wasn’t that obvious?”

“Gutter trash,” she hisses as the ground beneath them opens up like a fissure in space as hot flames tear out of it, licking at the walls and roof, and then, everything goes quite, and she stands before them, her long blond hair cascades down over her shoulders and rests just above her waist, her breast, large, push against the flimsy black dress that leave little to the imagination, and her black lips smile as flames dance within her eyes.

“What a fine fucking mess we have here,” she says, grabbing at her breasts and squeezing them tightly. “This isn’t too bad either, I’d say I’m his,” nodding towards Frank.

    “M-M-Mine?”

“You called me, did you not?”

“I-I-I-It was her, I-I-I don’t want anything to do with this man, I was just after a bit of pussy, I swear I just though this was some sort of foreplay shit.”

“You don’t like?” she says as she takes a step towards him, he scrambles backwards until he slams int the wall.

“P-P-PLEASE, SHE TRICKED ME!” he screams.

“Is that right? Did you trick this poor soul into summoning me?” She asks turning to the girl.

“I told him everything, I tried to make him listen, but he was only thinking with his cock, I thought he was into all this,” the girl replies quickly.

She laughs and turns back to him, “Honey, I saw everything that took place, I know what was going on in your head,” she says, prodding his head with a finger. “You wanted to fuck, so here I am, all ready, hot and horny, waiting for you,” she says grabbing him by the hair and twisting his face towards hers. “So Franky boy, are we going to have some fun?”

    “I can’t, I just, please, p-p-please.”

“You can’t what? Get it up?”

He nods, as tears run down his face.

She laughs, “That’s okay Franky, you don’t need to worry about that,” she says as she pulls her enormous, hard cock free from her pants, slapping him in the face with it. “I’m plenty hard enough for both of us.”

Day 132 – Lucie – YouChallenge Short Story

“So when are you going to make your move?” He says as he slaps Peter on the back.

“Gross, why the hell would I do that?”

“Because she’s French man, and you know what they say about chicks from France?”

    “What? They speak French?”

“No man, that they’re hot and go all the way on the first date, and she’ll be sleeping under the same roof as you, you’d be absolutely crazy not to try something!”

“I don’t even know what she looks like.”

“She’s French man, she’s going to be hot, I swear, if you don’t tap her, I will.”

“Shut up,” Peter says as he shoves Kyle away, both boys freeze in places as they hear a car pull up in the driveway, signalling the return of his parents with their new house guest. Peter feels the sweat suddenly seep out of his pours, nervously wiping his hands on his trousers as he hears car doors close. He gives Kyle a quick glance and rolls his eyes when he sees the big grin on his face, he turns away, secretly breathing into his hands and almost passes out as he wafts in his own, stale, garlic infused breath. It’s then that the door swings open and his Father steps in, carry two large suitcases, a huge smile on his face.

“Peter, go help your Mother will you?”

“I’ll help Mister Winters,” Kyle says as he rushes out the door, coming back in a few moments later with another two suitcases, looking white as a ghost. He locks eyes with Peter, shaking his head vigorously, seconds later he’s followed in the door by Peter’s Mother and Lucie, who is without a doubt, the most beautiful girl Peter has ever seen. She smiles at him, he feels his cheeks instantly go red, but, like Kyle, the look his mother gives him also is one of perplexed confusion.

“Pete, this is Lucie, Lucie this is my son Peter. Treat him like your brother,” his father says as he grabs Peter by the shoulders.

“H-h-hi,” Peter says as he holds out his hand.

“Hello Peter, it’s awesome to meet you, your Mother and Father have told me all about you,” Lucie says, in a deep, deep husky voice, grabbing his hand tightly and vigorously shaking it.

Peter stands there for a few moments, not knowing what to say or do, but his father quickly sees his difficulties and takes control of the situation.

“Peter, why don’t you show Lucie to her room and show her where everything she needs to know is while you’re there, you know, give her the grand tour,” his Father says to Peter as he squeezes his shoulders, Peter buckles with pain, gritting his teeth and forcing a smile.

“S-S-S-Sure, it’s down this w-w-w-way,” he says as he leads Lucie down to the back of the house. “This is your room here,” he says as he opens the door. “It used to be my sisters room, but she’s moved to Brisbane with her boyfriend.”

“Lucky for me,” Lucie says as she grabs Peter, dragging him into the room, slamming the door behind them, fifteen minutes later Peter stumbles out of the room and into his, where Kyle sits waiting.

“What the hell happened to you?” Kyle asks as he helps Peter to his bed.

“You were right, you were so right,” Peter says as he collapses on the bed. “She just wants to have sex, that’s all she wants, man it was amazing,” he says as he passes out.

    Meanwhile across the hall….

“It will be simple high-overload, I have already placed my seed in the boy, the town will follow and then the rest of this vile world and we will…” A knock at the door interrupts her report, she quickly closes the small device and opens the door and pulls Kyle in, “I’ve been waiting for you,” she says as she slams the door shut.

Day 131 – The Roundhead Prelude 7 – Shed Your Skin

**This takes place after chapter one of The Roundhead and before chapter two**

He looks up, across the table, into his friends eyes, who waits with anticipation for his response, and he hands his tablet back.

“Well? What do you think, scary as hell wasn’t it?”

“No,” he says as he leans back in the booth. “It’s lame, I could write a better story than that and I can’t write.”

“What? Are you for real? It was intense, didn’t you feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when it first showed up?”

“What? Toby, are you serious? Lines like ‘appearing and disappearing, like a poorly animated cartoon.’ Were so sub-par, actually, it was worse than sub-par, in fact, I won’t even rate it, that’s how bad it was.”

“You’re so full of shit Sawyer, I saw your eyes, you felt it dude.”

“You wish, it was trash, this guy is a total looser, and his story sucks.”

“Whatever, over six million likes and still climbing says different,” Toby says as he swings the tablet back around and places it in front of Sawyer. “Read the comments, everyone loves it, it’s a hit, this guy’s probably going to make a shit load of cash from it, it’ll probably be a movie before the end of the year, and then, you’ll think differently!”

“No I won’t, it’s shit, and I’ll prove it!” he says as he pulls out his phone and quickly opens up his Facebook app, flicking through the latest post of his news feed until he finds a link to the page that’s been shared by one of his friends and presses the share button, adding the message, ‘Does anyone else agree with me that this is a crap story?’ And presses the post button, he looks up at Toby, smiling. “There, we’ll see how many people agree with me!”

    Toby laughs, “You’re a dick!”

“So are you,” he says as he gets up from the table.

“What, you going home to cry?”

“No fucktard, I’m going for a piss,” he says as he walks to the back of the café and into the male toilets, he stands in front of the cubical, whistling to himself, before he shakes off and turns around to wash his hands. There, standing a few feet away, looking directly at him, is a young girl, her eyes look like black pools of nothingness and her skin pale, and grey. He feels a small charge of electricity pulsate along the hairs of his arms, and a cold chill run down his back.

“Think you took a wrong turn honey, the girls is that way,” he says pointing towards the door.

“From the words you read its call is heard, burned on your soul now is its word, through the sins of the man and his whispered words, comes the best, comes the demon, on the wings of birds, it wants nothing more but to feed on us all, so be weary, be worried, for it heard your call, you know it, you feel it, so say it with me, say The Roundhead, The Roundhead, The Roundhead and see.” And then she disappears. He feels whatever was left in his bladder, run down his leg as the lights in the small room flicker and explode, leaving him standing in darkness. His mouth drops open, as he stares at his reflection in a mirror above the sink in front of him, he feels the urge to run, to scream, but nothing works, all he can do is watch, as it’s massive, hulking form slowly leans over him, and he feels its putrid, hot breath, on the back of his neck.

  • Day 131 – The House – Short Story

Day 131 – The House – Short Story

Don’t turn out the lights, that’s the first thing my grandmother told me when I stayed at her house for the first time, don’t turn out the lights and everything will be fine.

I was a kid and didn’t understand what she meant and honestly, I really didn’t want to, I just did what she said and never thought about it again, it just became habit. Anyway, last year she died and the house remained as it was, untouched, unused, basically ignored, that was until mum and dad both passed and the fate of the house fell into my hands. At first I wanted to put it up for auction, and hopefully make something off it, but then my wife, Clare, fell in love with it as soon as she saw it, and I, to be honest did as well. You see, I hadn’t laid eyes on it for eighteen years or more, not since I moved away chasing dreams of success, where I met, fell in love with and eventually married Clare. We’d been married for almost six years at that stage, and we thought it was about time we slowed down and considered the idea of starting a family before we were both too old, our careers were solid, I was pretty established as a writer and really didn’t need to be in the city anymore, while Clare wanted to be a mum, so we decided, after a few days of constant reflection and discussion we would move into the house and see what we thought. The next day we subleased our town house and packed up just like that, it was odd to be perfectly honest, normally both of us were pretty big fence sitters, but with this, we both jumped, and never gave it a second thought. I thought it was a good idea anyway, I’d hit a wall while writing my latest novel and needed some inspiration and I thought going home again would bridge that gap between who I was when I was writing best seller material, to who I am now, writing the trash that I can’t even bring myself to read. See, I was six books deep into the story of Jennifer and the strange things that happened to her and her friends, it’d weighed a lot on my shoulders because I didn’t find the fun I used to in writing, well not this crap. But my publisher was hell bent on adding another sequel to the mix. Where I, well, all I really wanted to do was write the sequel to my first book ‘The Widow’ it was a story of a demonic beast that slithered its way through mankind in the form of a woman who would just appear in people’s lives as if she had always been there, really fucking screwed up stuff, played with the mind so well, and I had fucking really enjoyed writing it. So the idea of her was always in the back of my mind. I so wanted to write another part of the story, hell I even left the end very open so one day I could do just that. But that’s not what I’m writing about, not anymore. When we first set foot in the house I felt it, something strange, yet familiar. Something or someone I’d known, or had known me, was watching us, following us, but whatever it was, I was the only one who felt it, so, I eventually brushed it off as nerves about the book, and we tried to get settled in.

All the furniture was still there, Mum and Dad didn’t know what to do with any of it, so rather than deal, they just left it all there. Which was great for us because we didn’t need to do anything but pull back the sheets and do some dusting. The first night we were so buggered from the trip we grabbed take out and parked ourselves on the lounge room floor and soaked up everything up, more wine than atmosphere though. It was like stepping back in time, I’ve got to be honest, I actually felt like a kid again, and then, after one and a half bottles of red I remembered the rule. Clare thought it was a joke at first, but as the wine dwindled and we became more and more obsessed with the story about not turning out the light, she became more and more agitated, to the point where she refused to turn off the lounge room light when we finally decided it was time to get some sleep. It was about four in the morning when she woke and rushed to the toilet, I rolled over, my back ached from sleeping on the floor, and I waited for her to come back. After about fifteen minutes passed I started to get a little worried and called for her, but there was no answer, I can tell you, plenty of thoughts ran through my mind, but, nothing could get me ready for what I found as I rushed to the toilet. Clare, was asleep, passed out more like it, still sitting propped up on the toilet, her mouth open, and a ball of paper in her hand ready to wipe. I roused her up, guided her back to our makeshift bed on the floor and she was soon snoring her little head off. That’s when it happened, I don’t know why, I mean, I was so well trained, but I guess it was partly the wine and partly not being here for years that contributed to it, but I turned out the light. There were hundreds of them, peering out from the darkness at me, I stood there, too afraid to move, all the while, Clare snored. They didn’t move, not once, they just floated there, attached to nothing, watching me, maybe waiting for me to do something I guess, so, I did the only thing I could do, and turned the lights back on. Needless to say, I didn’t get any more sleep, and, when Clare finally woke up, we headed back home once I told her what I saw. What happened to the house? Well, I still own it, and it still sits there, waiting, for the lights to be turned off…

“Thanks for coming so quickly, I know this is the last place…”

“Shut up Damon, I’m here, like you asked, now, what the fuck do you want,” she says as she throws her bag to the ground and tumbles into the seat opposite him.

    “I-I-I..”

“You what?” her eyes burn at him like hot daggers, and he feels a lump expand in his throat as he tries to swallow.

“Please, Sally, I need you to listen to me, I’m sorry for all the shit that happened between us, I really am, but, you’re my best friend, and I really need you right now.”

She laughs and rolls her eyes in her head, “Fuck you Damon, you call me out of the blue, for the first time in two months since you blew me off for Debbie Morgan, two fucking months, I’ve called you like fifty times and you haven’t even answered once, and now, you want me to be your friend? Where was you when I need my best friend? What were you doing? Being a shit Damon, that’s where you were, arsehole,” she says as she crosses her arms and leans back in the seat.

“I’m sorry, really Sal, I am, but I didn’t want to get you involved, I though maybe I could handle it on my own, but I was wrong, I need you, and I promise, I swear, I’ll never shut you out again,” he says, tears streaming down his face.

She relaxes her arms, her face softens, and her eyes show concern, “What the fuck is going on Damon?”

“It’s better if I show you first,” he says, as he looks around the small coffee shop, and leans across the table. “But, not here, somewhere private.”

    “What the fuck?”

“I promise, I’ll tell you everything, but I really need to show you first.”

“You’re not going to show me your cock are you?”

“What? Why do you think that?”

“Because you’ve been readjusting your junk the whole fucking time I’ve been sitting here, you don’t have herpes or anything like that do you?”

“Not herpes…” He says as he goes bright red, blood rushing to his cheeks.

    “But what?”

“I don’t know,” he says as he hangs his head in embarrassment.

“What the fuck do you mean, you don’t know?”

    “Exactly what I said, I don’t know.”

“Have you been to a doctor?”

“When it first started, they did all sorts of tests, but I never went back, not once it started to get worse.”

    “Worse?”

“Yeah, it’s got, bigger, I guess is the best way to put it.”

    “What? Your cock?”

    “Everything down there.”

    “Well, show me then.”

“Can we do it somewhere else, I’d rather…”

“Just fucking pull your pants down, I know it’s not the way either of us wanted this moment to be, but just show me,” she says sternly.

“Either of us wanted this moment to be?”

She rolls her eyes again and smiles nervously, “Don’t be a dick Damon, I’m a girl, you’re a guy, we’ve know each other since we were five, don’t tell me you’ve never been curious to see what’s under my top?”

    “Yeah, but, I’m a guy.”

“And what? Girls can’t think dirty thoughts?”

He looks around the room and swallows before turning back to her, “So, are you sure?”

“I asked, didn’t I?” she says as she awkwardly shuffles in her seat.

“I know, it’s just, I never expected you to want to see it, not mine anyway,” he says as he stands in front of her and pulls down his pants.

“WOW,” she says, one of the ladies at the table behind them drops her cup of coffee, while another crashes to the ground unconscious.

    Day 129 – Crossing – Short Story

He makes his way into the club, and stops in the doorway and looks over, across to the girls as they dance around, lost in a haze of drugs, alcohol, and sound, one of the bouncers nods to him on his way past, and yells something towards him, but the music soaks up all the noise, and he doesn’t care what Patton has to say, as he spots what he was looking for, sitting on the other side of the room, talking with some guy he’s never seen before, he feels something burn inside his stomach, and then a tingling sensation runs from the tip of his back done to his skull. He buries his tightly clenched fists into his pockets and forces his way through the crowd of people, and heads towards her. He’s only a few steps away before he’s grabbed by the arm and pulled away and tossed out into a back area, he looks around and quickly locks eyes with Patton.

“I’ve got things on the go right now, I’ll come back to you once I’ve dealt with this, okay?”

“That’s not going to be a possibility,” Patton says, he motions to one of the bouncers, who drives a solid left hook into his stomach, sending him crashing to the ground.

“W-W-What the fuck? What the fuck do you think you’re doing? We’ve got an agreement, and I’ve upheld me side, consistently, so what the fuck?”

“Agreements change Mister Kenny,” another voice says, he looks quickly to his left and the man who was talking to his woman from the bar is standing before him.

    “Who the fuck are you?”

He crouches down and smiles, running a hand through his hair, “You’re boss, the one who bankrolls all your little endeavours, the guy you’ve been ripping off for the last thirteen months, did you think I wouldn’t find out? Did you think you really could get away with it?”

“I-I-I-I don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about, I’ve done nothing wrong, everything’s been above board, I’m not that stupid.”

“That’s a terrible shame, Mister Patton did say you would deny it, he even stood up for you, but, when faced with his own mortality, he decided it was better for you to face your punishment, instead of both of you facing it together.”

“I DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE FUCKING TALKING ABOUT, I HAVEN’T TAKEN ANYTHING!” he yells, saliva and blood spraying out of his mouth.

“Kenny, why lie? It will only make the punishment all the more painful,” he says as he stands up and takes a step back as one of the bouncers drives a kick into Kenny’s side, sending him crashing to the floor on his side, writhing in pain.

    “I-I-I-I swear, I did nothing, I took-k-k nothing, I swearrr,” he mutters.

“Then explain how you were able to afford all the gifts you showered your woman with? Tell us how you, a low level bottom feeder managed to buy her things well above your pay grade?”

    “W-W-What are you talking about?”

“I’m talking about the six hundred k you shelled out on a necklace, or the three hundred k you spent on a two night get away. So tell me, how did you afford all that if you haven’t been skimming from the top of my pie child?”

“I never brought those things, I could never afford that, I swear, I don’t know what you’re talking about, why don’t you ask her? She’ll tell you where they came from, she’s out there for god sake, ask her!”

“Don’t you think I already have? Why would I spend time talking to trash like that if I didn’t need to, she told me all I needed to know, and now, if you would be so kind, I want you to admit what you have done, before I break every bone in your body.”

“That fucking bitch is lying, I fucking swear I’ve never taken anything, tell him Patton, tell him I’d never do it!” He yells, Patton turns away and quickly heads back into the night club. Kenny looks up at him, trying to focus his vision on the strangers face, but the tears that flow down his face make it harder for him to see, “Please, p-p-please, I swear, I-I-I-I didn’t take anything, please don’t kill me!”

“I’m afraid, we have come to an impasse, that will not be easy to move past, you have, as it seems, tied my hands, and left me no other option,” He says as he pulls a revolver from his jacket pocket and places it against Kenny’s forehead.

“It’s cold,” she says, gripping herself tightly, and letting out a cold shiver.

“It’s meant to get colder,” he says as he snaps the twigs over his knee and adds them to the small pile on the ground.

“Are you sure you know what you’re doing?”

“When I was a kid dad took us camping all the time, he made sure we knew how to survive, if we had to,” he says with a smile as he starts stuffing dried moss and leaves into the sticks.

“You’re a lot more handy than you let on.”

“I like to keep a surprise or two hidden away for emergencies, to impress the ladies.”

she laughs, “You don’t need to worry about trying to impress me any more than you have, these last few months have been amazing, I-I, I think I’m falling for you.”

Flames leap up from within the sticks and he smiles again, and sits back, looking at her from across the small camp fire, “Me too.”

“Me too? The girl just said she loves you and you say, me too,” a voice says from beyond the camp fire light, out in the darkness. He quickly leaps to his feet and spins around, holding out a knife as she quickly scrambles to his side.

    “Show yourself!” He yells.

A tall, raven haired woman steps out of the darkness, her skin white, her lips blood red and her eyes dark, almost completely black, like pools of oil. “There’s no need for weapons, as you can see, I am no threat.”

    “What do you want?”

“I could ask the same thing, you are trespassing on my land.”

“Your land? This is a national reserve, we’ve got permits,” he says as he darts a look at his bag and then back to her.

She smiles and laughs, “Permits mean  nothing to the bear, or the wolf, or the eagle, your words on paper are nothing to me, you have entered my land, you are now my prey.”

“What the fuck are you on?”

“What’s wrong with her eyes?” She whispers into his ear, the woman laughs once more.

“There is nothing wrong with my eyes dear, they are evolution, I am what you will all one day become,” she smiles. “Well, not you two.”

“What the?” But she does not answer, not in words anyway, in a flash of movement she is between then, knocking the woman to the ground and hoisting the man high into the air.

“It’ll only hurt for a moment, well, that’s what they tell me anyway,” she says, running a fingernail along one of the protruding veins in his neck before biting down. He gasps for air as her teeth pierce the fragile vein, and his blood rushes out, into her hungry mouth.

  • Day 128 – The Dark – Short Story

Day 128 – The Dark – Short Story

The lights flicker and he feels her grip tighten around his throat, he struggles to push her away, but the strength she displays, is not fitting of someone her size. He struggles for another breath, and feels his throat begin to crumble underneath her clutches and then the black and white pockets of light erratically begin exploding in front of his eyes, and then, nothing, total, utter darkness. For what seems like forever he stands there, in the darkness, no pain, no worries, no anything, he knows full well that he’s either unconscious and dying, or dead, but whatever the current circumstances are, they will all end the same way, with his death.

“You shouldn’t have crossed her Roc, you should have done what she asked weeks ago instead of played the shit hand you were dealt,” a voice says from out of the darkness.

“I don’t need you running me through what I did wrong, anyway, after what happened to you, I wouldn’t take anything you said as gospel, more like that choking feeling you get in the back of your throat when you walk into the toilets and some piece of shit has laid cable a mile long in the shitter and not flushed it properly, or wiped his hands and you’re looking at your own hand, you opened the door with and you realised there’s shit on it because the disgusting piece of trash didn’t even wipe or clean his hands.”

“I came all the way here to bring you in, and this is how you treat me, like the enemy! I didn’t think we were on bad terms when I checked out?”

“You and me were always on bad terms Linney, ever since we were kids, so don’t come here trying to act like you’re here to make amends for all the shit that happened when we were both in the land of the living and breathing, just tell me what’s the next step? Where do we go from here? Downstairs?”

Linney laughs, and walks out of the darkness, dressed in a dirty, torn, black suit, he smiles a bloody smile.

“Downstairs? There ain’t no downstairs Roc, there’s only one place we all go after we bite the big one, and it’s magnificent, you’ll love it, truest me.”

“Then why do you look like shit?”

Linney laughs again, “If I looked like how I do now, you’d never recognise me, so I dressed in the old meat suit for you, help you feel calmer with the next step.”

    “What next step?”

“Well, it’s the hardest part of it all, the one that we’ve all got to get past before we can move on to the next stage,” Linney says as he places a hand on his shoulder and squeezes, “Roc, you’ve got to bite it.”

    “What? I’m not dead yet?”

“Nah, not yet, actually, not by a long shot. That bitch, she’s keeping you alive, transporting you somewhere right now, where she’s going to keep you for a few weeks, maybe months and she’s more than likely going to torture the fuck out of you, just to make an example to everyone else not to cross her, and then, maybe, she might kill you, or worst case scenario, for you anyway, because hey, I’m already dead. Worse case, she might just toss you back on the street, and well, that opens up a whole other ball game. But let’s not talk about it, let’s talk about what we’ll do once you’re on the other side…..”

But Roc doesn’t here anymore of his words, as he stares off into the darkness, his mind trying to comprehend what is going on, and then he feel it, the pain, and light suddenly breaks through the darkness and he finds himself bound to a chair.

    Day 127 – Breakfast – 50 Word Story Expanded

“Don’t shit where you sleep, it’s that simple,” he says, smashing the bottle on the floor, he grabs one of the shards of glass and holds it out towards them.

“Really Stuart? You really think that’s enough protection, from us?”

“It’s all I need against you fucks, so come at me!”

“All brawn and no brains, she was right about you, young, dumb, and not that well hung,” he says with a broad grin, his eyes motioning towards Stuart’s naked body.

“Hung like Donkey Kong when it’s pumping along, didn’t realise it was the way you swung, are you jealous and want some?” He replies back, and lets himself enjoy the moment, smiling. “You’re not the only jack off that can rhyme Dolsalc, so either come and try and take me or piss off, I’m running out of patience.”

“I wouldn’t be so sure of yourself, underestimating your enemy is a sure fire way to get yourself killed, but, I don’t need to tell you all this, do I?”

“Shut up and come try me, I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast!”

“You eat shit, for breakfast? Should I ask why? Dare I say some dietary reasons?”

    “What?”

“It’s called humour, you know, getting a laugh?”

“God damn it!” he yells as he throws the glass shard to the ground. “I can’t do it, I just can’t fuck keep up with all these motherfucking changes!” he yells as he stares down the camera leans.

“What the fuck?” Dolsalc yells. “Again? Seriously, what’s it this time?”

“What’s it this time? Don’t be all fucking high and mighty Xavier, I’m not one of your moist teenage fans, I’m an actor, a talented on at that, and I’m sick and tired of the fucking script being changed twelve times a day and not finding out until were in the middle of a fucking scene.”

“You fucking pretentious piece of shit, come over here, and say it in my face.”

“Conner, Xavier, both of you, calm the fuck down, this has been part of the script since yesterday Conner, not to mention it’s the seventh time we’ve gone through it for the cameras. So I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about, and Xavier, remember the documents you signed, if George see’s this take, and when I say if, I mean when, he might see that as a threat and cancel your contract, so keep it in your pants,” a voice says from the other side of the camera.

“I don’t give a fuck J.J, this is bullshit, Xavier’s ad-libbed some lines not in the script, because my copy doesn’t have half the shit he’s coming out with,” he says as he darts Xavier a vicious glace.

“Don’t look at me Hollywood, my script is good, I don’t wander off it like some people I know,” he says, looking over him shoulder.

“Are you seriously trying to drag me into this argument,” a woman yells from behind.

“If the shoe fits sweetheart, you might as well show it off,” he says, obviously impressed with himself.

“Look, I don’t give a good god damn fuck, you’ve all got the same version of the script, no one’s ad-libbing or doing their own thing, we are all, together, working on one path. So, now, can I get someone in to redress the set, sweep up the smashed bottle, and we’ll start from the the fucking top again! Or do you all want to continue stabbing each other in the face for everyone to see?” the voice yells from behind the camera, silence follows. “Good, now, lets get this fucking thing wrapped so we can all get some air, for christ sake!”

  • Day 126 – Bad Day IV From Below – Short Story

Day 126 – Bad Day IV From Below – Short Story

When the grenade went off I thought it was all over, but I was satisfied that taking Kildone, that fat fucking prick with me was a choice thing to do, fucked if I’d be going down there on my own. The grenade ripped through the fat fuck like a water balloon hitting its target, he just burst, and then it tore into me, the pain only lasted a second and then it was all over, things were a blur of nothingness for a while and then suddenly he was standing there, in the dark, looking all schmick and cashed up. He smiled and his dirty fucking teeth gleamed in the darkness like neon lights above a whore house, and he offered me a deal, said a man like me, with my skills would be useful to his establishment. I told the stupid fuck that he could go suck his own cock if he had one, and if not, to grow one and suck it, I was done with the shit that got to me down here, so he could just forget it and just throw me on the punishment train and I’ll take my lickings. He laughed and said that’s not the sort of answer he likes to hear, and then offered me a deal that he said I couldn’t refused. I told him to fuck himself again, this time with toys. He laughed again and said if I work for him for twenty years, and to trust him when he said this, that twenty years go quick down here, he would help facilitate my transfer upstairs, when I could be with my family. I’ve never been one to believe in heaven or hell, but to know my family earned their place upstairs made me smile. I told him I can smell bullshit a mile away and he’s full of it, after all isn’t he the king of lies. He took that remark badly and my whole body was one big ball of pain, he talked trash for a while before he laid a contract out in front of me and said it was bound and signed by upstairs themselves, he made the remark that he wasn’t the only interested in my skills. I still told him to go shove it, and that’s when he said it, that’s when he had my undivided attention. It seems that piece of shit Kildone had orchestrated a break out and he and a few hundred of Hell’s finest had made their way back to the middle ground as he called it. He said he’d give me whatever I wanted as long as I removed each of the souls from existence, permanently, but he didn’t need to continue crapping on, I had signed the contract right after he mentioned Kildone’s name.

So, that’s how I ended back up here, tracking down the Lord of Hell’s escaped convicts, and his twenty years, what a joke, it’s taking me three weeks to wipe out two hundred and seventy-six of the stupid fucks, I’ll only need another week if that. You see, Kildone, he’s a good talker, but it’s always the vomit of society who listen, like the vermin he surrounded himself with from down there, the scum who escaped with him, pieces of trash, like kiddie fiddlers, rapists, murders and small time fuck heads, these guys were nothing, not against me and especially not against a juiced up to the max version of me. So now, there’s only a handful of them left, and Kildone is one of them, I’m saving him for last, and he knows it, because this time, when I have him, he ain’t coming back, that, I’ll make sure of.

“Get inside, hurry!” He yells as he swings the metal pipe towards the horde of staggering, decomposing, hungry undead creatures that edge towards the small group as they tumble inside the powerless police station and quickly lock the doors. The creatures bang vigorously on the doorway, and the walls, the sound of glass smashing comes from somewhere in the back.

“Fuck! What the hell are we going to do, they’re fucking everywhere?”

“The cells, get to the cells, we should be able to hold them off from in there, Skeeter and I will grab all the firepower we can and you get the others to the cells,” he says to the sheriff, who nods his head in agreement and shepherds the small group towards the back.

“You know there’s fuck all in there don’t you?” Skeeter says as he spits a mouthful of saliva and tobacco onto the ground.

“Let’s just get what’s left, okay?”

“This is a dumb move, dumbest one anyone’s had yet.”

“Honestly, if I had more time to think about it, I wouldn’t be here right now, that’s for sure.”

“Bullshit Will, you deliberately went against everything you were asked to do, and then, to top it all off you came here, and now we’re all going to pay for it!”

“What the fuck? You’re blaming me for this?”

“If you had listened to Lawson we’d be out of town by now, instead of getting your nutsack in a twist.”

“It’s his fault all this started, if it wasn’t for him we’d be sitting down cracking a few beers instead of fighting off fucking zombies.”

“Lawson was only trying to do the right thing, for Sally, he was hurting, we all were, he was just…”

“He’s dead so can it, there’s no way he would’ve made it out of town, no way.”

“How the fuck do you know that for sure, these fuckers didn’t even go after the truck, they just stay in town and ended back here, with us, you dumb fuck!” He yells as he grabs Will by the shirt and slams him into the wall.

“Calm the fuck down Skeet, fighting amongst ourselves right now, we’ve got to keep it together other…” screams suddenly break out from the back of the station, putting an end to the argument.

“BECKY!” Skeeter yells as he shoves Will one last time as he rushes towards the cells, rifle in hand, Will stands there, as shots ring out, and then more screams. He tightens his hands into fists, a breaths quickly, readying himself for what was going to happen next. It’s a mummer at the start and then it gets louder and louder and they storm from the back and out into the office area, and they charge directly for him. He closes his eyes and pushes himself up against the wall and grits his teeth as he waits for them to hit, seconds turn into minutes, and as the minutes pass the more he’s tempted to look, until finally he can fight the urge no more and opens his eyes. They all stand before him, in silence, staring towards him, their rotting mouths hanging open, fresh, red, rich blood drips from them, but they make no sound, show no movement, they just stand there, starring.

    “What the fuck?”

“Not what the fuck, but who the fuck,” a voice says, as the undead creatures slowly part, as he walks towards him, a smile broadly on his face.

    “Lawson?”

    “Hello little brother, miss me?”

Day 125 – Final Show – YouChallenge Short Story

He looks over at her and smiles as he turns off the engine and releases his seat belt, looking over into the back at the two children who lie asleep.

“Poor dears, they were so excited to come here,” she’s says as she places a hand on his arm, he turns to her and smiles again.

“I know, all week it’s all they’ve been taking about, I guess the excitement wore them out.”

“And the long trip, we should have stayed with Mum and Dad instead of doing the drive on the same day,” she says.

“It’s almost better this way though,” he says as he places a hand on her leg. “More like when we first came here twenty-five years ago.”

“It was our first date, and almost our last,” she says with a giggle.

“Almost, but thankfully not, I felt like such a klutz all night, and was so sure I had messed it up,” he says as he grabs her and they kiss passionately.

“Thankfully though, you managed to redeem yourself,” she says as they sit with their foreheads touching, and staring into each other’s eyes.

“I still can’t believe they’re closing the old girl down though, I mean, she’s almost heritage listed for sure, my Grandfather used to bring my Dad and uncle Robert here when they were kids, and Dad us, it’s just a shame, it really is. I still can believe they’re going to build four high rise apartment on top of her, it’s just wrong, old man Rudy would turn in his grave.”

“Progress, income for the city, affordable housing for students, Clive, it’s best for the city, well that’s what they keep ramming down everyone’s throat.”

“Yeah well, it’s just wrong, I spent so many years of my life here before you, Dad would bring me, Dalton and Fletcher here every Sunday for the double B bill, I mean this place is the reason why I got into films in the first place, if I had the money…”

“If you had the money it wouldn’t matter honey,” she says as she snuggles next to him. “But it’s part of the reason why I love you so much, you care, it’s a rare thing,” she says as she kiss him on the cheek. “At least they allowed you to do this last night, to see her off properly.”

He smiles and lets out a laugh, “I don’t think they were comfortable allowing me to do this, I mean, I had to literally beg them to allow me to do this one last show before they tear her down, if old man Rudy was alive it wouldn’t have even been a question, but Rodney is nothing like his old man, he’s more money, not passion.”

A white light breaks the darkness and shines on the large screen and he looks at his wife and kisses her.

“Go get em stud,” she says as he climbs out of the car and walks up onto the strange, a hundred or more car horns beep like crazy and headlights flash as he reaches the center and stands in front of the microphone.

“My name is Clive Silverstone, I grew up in this town, and every Sunday my Dad, George, who is no longer with us brought me and my brothers here to be amazed by the wonders of film, and tonight I’m taking you on a trip as we farewell a true lady of the night. So sit back and get comfy, because we’re in for one hell of a final ride.”
