  • One Love – The Opening Cut

One Love – The Opening Cut

Love doesn’t die quietly—it tears through flesh screaming.

A grieving man refuses to accept the horrifying truth about the woman he loves, even as the world around him collapses into violence, bloodshed, and desperation. Trapped inside a storm-soaked home filled with death, fear, and decaying memories, Samuel clings to the fragile hope that love can survive even the most monstrous transformation. One Love is a bleak and deeply human horror story about obsession, denial, sacrifice, and the terrifying lengths people will go to for the ones they cannot let go.

He swings the shovel wildly towards the two men, sending blood and dirt spraying from the blade and splashing into the rain-soaked ground.

“I told you to go! I won’t tell you AGAIN!” he yells.

“Samuel! For fuck’s sake, son, she’s gone, and what’s left ain’t her ANYMORE! You have to let us do what must be done. Can’t you see you’re endangering everyone with this madness?” his father yells back, narrowly avoiding the edge of the shovel as Samuel swings it violently towards him again.

“You’re WRONG! You’re all wrong! She’s still in there, I can see it!

    The Kids Love It

The car comes to a screeching halt, smashing into the side of another, forcing it off the road and down into a ditch, voices cry out, followed by an explosion.

He stands overlooking the carnage, watching with bewildering eyes, his bottom lip quivers, as one of his hands slowly reaches up and grasps his chest. The burning sensation that he had coursing through his body only seconds ago, is now non-existent. But he doesn’t question why, as he knows the reason, for he can see it in his own dead, empty eyes that stare towards him.

“OKAY, THAT’S A WRAP!” He hears yelled a few feet away. Slowly he casts his eyes towards seven men, men he never noticed before, standing, watching, with what looks like cameras, microphones, and other filming equipment.

    “H-H-H-Hello?” he says softly.

One of the men looks over to him, nods and smiles, then turns back to packing up his equipment.

“HELLO?” He says again, louder this time.

“Don’t be put off by Klause, he’s one of those artists,” a voice says from behind him, he turns to face a skinny man, mid-thirties, long scraggly hair, holding what looks to be a boom mic…

  • Marty’s Story – Deadhead – Part One

    Marty’s Story – Deadhead – Part One

The blade rips into his flesh as he cuts, using the knife like a saw, his bloody, torn flesh falls to the floor below him, and he laughs, staring at his reflection.

“It was the words that drew us in, it was the night that sealed our sins, the devil smiled from somewhere afar, as our hero burned the dying star, whispered words, vaulted sins, the devils work, forever, begins,” he says, the lights flicker, as energy snaps violently through them, as he continues to look into the mirror, the blood drips from his face into the sink, he grins, his face grotesque, ripped and torn into a mask, in the form of a demented smile, that is now carved in his flesh. With a shaky hand, he raises the bloody knife once more, stretching the skin around his eye with the other hand, then digs the blade in, and screams….

He feels his mouth go dry, nervously he grabs a glass that sits on the side of his desk, placing the sheet of paper down as he takes a large mouthful of the liquid, he feels the vodka burn his throat as it goes down and he lets out a hiss of satisfaction.

“I’ve read a lot….” He stops in his tracks as he takes a quick, sharp breath in, as he attempts to quell the burn from the vodka, hisses again, before pressing his lips together tightly. “I’ve read a god damn lot of shit you’ve wrote over the years Marty, but this has got to be the best fucking piece of writing you’ve ever placed on my desk,” he says looking over to Marty, who has a broad smile on his face.

“See Bernie, I told you it was worth the wait, it’s good right?” Marty says, slapping his hands together in excitement.

“It’s better than good, it’s wrong, fucked up, pushing the boundaries of good taste to the extreme wrong, now where’s the rest?”

“It’s coming,” he says leaning back in his seat.

“Coming? What the fuck do you think this is? I’ve got half an issue ready and waiting for this baby you’ve been gestating, now two days before the issues published you tell me its coming?”

“You said it yourself, it’s the best piece I’ve ever written, don’t you want the rest to be just as good?”

“Don’t throw my words back in my face Towns, it’s not good form, just tell me how long you need?”

“Another few days, four at the most, I wanna get it right, I want the whole thing to mesh perfectly.”

He empties the remainder of the glass into his mouth and sucks another quick, desperate breath of air in with it, hoping to dull the burn once again, “Two days, that’s all you’ve got, you don’t have it ready by then I’m going run with Jones’ story.”

“Jones? Seriously Bernie? You’d give that hack half an issue? Can’t you push it back a few days?” Marty says in shock, sitting up in his seat.

“He’s got something ready, you don’t, and two days is the best I can do. Templar’s tying my hands Marty, they’re cutting expenditure, the old man wants us to meet deadlines without fail, every issue,” he says pouring himself another glass, and filling Marty’s as well. “Mate between me, you and the bottle, they’re getting close to pulling the pin, I went to see the old man yesterday, fucker looks ready to run, he’s got that look, you know, crazy eyes and shit. I can’t push back now, it’s gotta be what it’s gotta be,” Bernie says quickly draining his glass once again.

“Fuck! Seriously? I’ll see what I can do, but I can’t promise it’ll be ready,” Marty says as he clenches his hands into tight fists.

Bernie lets out a loud, boisterous laugh, “Shouldn’t be too hard sport, you’ve got a killer start.”

“It’s not the start, it’s the end. I just thought jumping to the end at the start of the story gave it a, you know, a sorta fucked up twist, see what’s going to happen, before it all really begins,” he says, as he picks his glass up from the desk, letting the vodka dance around on his tongue, swishing it around in his mouth, before he swallows it.

“Sure you’re not being too cerebral for the readers? I mean, we’re no high-end magazine Marty, we’re penny dreadful shite, trying to pull a Stephen King might alienate the readers.”

“It’s clever I know, but the way it opens the story up, allows itself to connect straight to the ending makes it more fun. It gives you guts, gore, and a hell of a draw card to drag you in, you don’t like the idea?” Marty replies quickly.

“I get the whole trying to draw the reader in shit, I love that. It’s just sticking the end at the start, it’s more what they do in the movies, or big publications, not what we do in shock horror magazines mate,” Bernie says, filling their glasses again.

“Trust me, you’ll love it and so will the readers, you’ve always said it’s all about impact, well, this is it, I want the reader drawn in straight away, I want them to WANNA know what’s gonna happen next, why he’s carving up his face. I mean, don’t you?”

“Okay, okay, you’ve won me over you little shit so stop trying to sell it to me. Does Wilkinson have a cover yet?”

“You know Gareth, he’s working his way there, it’ll be ready.”

Bernie swivels in his chair and leans back, resting the empty glass on his enormous stomach, “So tell me, oh great sage, how are you going to cut the ending so it flows into the beginning?”

“Easy,” Marty says as he empties his glass again, slamming it in the desk. “I’m going to smash cut it straight in, no bullshit, just straight into it,” he says with a twisted smile, as the vodka burns down his throat, all the way to his stomach.

    Tonight, Let’s Start A Story

What did those idiotic boys have to read, what stories were told, what darkness was given flight?

Tonight, we’ll begin a journey to see what words crafted the world of one, Mister Marty Towns.

What shape does his demon take, and how can he avoid its touch?

  • The Past Always Has A Way Of Shaping The Future

The Past Always Has A Way Of Shaping The Future

He lived at the end of our street when I was a kid growing up, nowadays he’d be labeled one of those guys to watch out for around your kids, but he was harmless, a gentle old soul who’d withered with age. He always sat on the porch of his run down house, the doors hung off, most of the windows broken, but he didn’t care, and he’d always smile when I went to visit. Then he’d tell me stories, fascinating, unbelievable stories, stories that would put a glimmer in his eye, and a broad smile on his face.

I was fifteen when Marty Tonks passed away, but, I think he stayed with me long after that, I think part of his excitement for stories rubbed off on me, I guess that’s why I named my characters after him.

Hello, and welcome to my first official blog, as master of this domain.

Honestly you’d think one of those idiots would’ve read the fucking stories I gave them, wouldn’t you?

I mean how much more obvious did I have to make it to them, read the story, it’ll help you understand things, it’ll help you know what your role is in all of this, and maybe, show you a way out.

I’m obviously dealing with two special individuals here, but it matters not, they seem to have finally got the hint, don’t you think?

If you haven’t been keep up with things I suggest you check out the last two days worth of blogs, because I have a feeling tomorrow their eyes will be open.

  • Twisted Tales Of The Damned – I’m Losing It

Twisted Tales Of The Damned – I’m Losing It

The last 24 hours have been a mashup of moments, fractions of seconds, that when pieced together make no sense at all.

I remember the man from the white room,  the imposter, the book, the shadow, and, the little girl screaming, terrified and, and a woman, Clare?

The rest seems like poorly sown together images, distorted through eyes not mine, eyes weary from a full night worth of drinking, a throat and lungs stained and burnt with the smoke from a packet or more of cigarettes. But yet, I have no recognition of any of these things, just the after tastes, just the aches and pains.

What happened to me last night?

It was then I noticed the folder the strange man from the white room had left me somehow ended up spread across the lounge room, pages from it were torn in peices, others brunt, I needed to know what happened, what drove me to destroy something that the man said would help me. Whatever good it would do me now, was little to nothing, that’s when I noticed the folder still had something in it, when I opened the folder I found the story still complete. It was then that I noticed in the mess spread around that there were multiple copies of pages, I realized this last night I’d tried to destroy the book, only to find it replenished itself back in the folder.

What madness is going on, and how in the fucking hell do I escape it?

  • Twisted Roads Of Madness – Last Night

Twisted Roads Of Madness – Last Night

Don’t ask me what happened last night, I can’t tell you. It’s not because I don’t want to, it’s because I don’t remember.

I went to the house sometime after eleven last night, it was quiet, nothing seemed out of place, basically, the way we had left it when we took off earlier. I turned on all the lights as I walked from room to room, I did this more so because I wasn’t intending to sit in the fucking dark with who knows what in the house, and then I waited.

Well, that’s not entirely true, I called out, abused, threatened, spat, burst a blood vessel in my left eye, and stubbed my right foot’s big toe on the door frame that leads to my bedroom. But besides all that, I waiting for whatever it was to come back, to pick on someone who could fight back instead of a four year old girl.

I remember a flash, a noise behind me, and then, I woke in my car, it was still running, I was outside the hotel, the drive side door was hanging open, instinctively I looked up terrified, towards the door to the room I had left my wife and daughter in, it was wide open, I heard my wife scream and tried to leap from the car, only to find my seat belt was still lock in place around me, I felt like a right fucking idiot. Once I released it I ran up the stair and into the hotel room, my wife looked at me, her face pale, frighted, she yelled at me to stay away. I put my hands up in defense, I tried to reason with her, demanding to know what was wrong, but she started screaming louder, I didn’t know what else to do so I left, I ran outside, whatever brought me here, it’d done something to her, turned her against me, I had to find a way to stop whatever was happening. I had to find out what it wanted.

When I got back in my car, I noticed a folder on the passenger side seat, it was folder the odd man from the white room, then one from my dreams had given me a few days ago, I still hadn’t opened it, maybe that’s what it wanted, maybe it me to open the folder, read the story, whatever it was about.

I started up the car, and headed towards anywhere but home, I need some air, to somewhere safe, away from all those I love, and somewhere I could read this story.

That was a few hours ago, I’ve had six miss calls from my wife, four from work and seventeen from unlisted numbers, whatever’s going on, this folder, this story has something to do with it, and it’s about time I found out.

  • Twisted Roads Of Madness – Camera Footage

Twisted Roads Of Madness – Camera Footage

My wife doesn’t want me going back to the house on my own, she’s worried something’s going to happen, it was only intensified by this footage I found on my daughters bedroom camera. I didn’t bother to bring my laptop so I’ve used my phones camera to record it.

I can’t not go back, not now, whoever that is, whatever he wants, I’ve got to deal with it now, before he hurts someone.

I wish I never started this fucking blog, and I still don’t know why I’m fucking posting this shit, it’s like I have no choice, like, if I don’t, I won’t exist…

  • Twisted Roads Of Madness – That Sinking Feeling

Twisted Roads Of Madness – That Sinking Feeling

Not long after I posted my last post, my daughter came to me crying, totally inconsolable, and it took a good fifteen minutes to finally get her to calm down enough to even talk to us, and when she finally started to make sense I rushed to her room searching it from top to bottom.

She told us the man in her room had yelled at her, normally he was nice and played with her, but today his wasn’t being nice at all.

When I asked her what this man looked like she picked up a scrap of paper off the floor and held it up, saying this was the man.

I grabbed what little mattered and took everyone to the hotel we are now sitting in, some twelve blocks from our home, my wife thinks I’m crazy, but she can’t deny that our daughter has been acting strange the last few days, and she has felt an uncomfortable feeling in the house. So, I’ve spent the last few minutes pouring though security footage of my daughters room. Yes, sadly I’m one of those high tech dads who fit their babies room out with cameras so we would sleep soundly at night knowing she was okay.

So far I haven’t seen anything unusual, but, the footage from before she ran out of the bedroom is missing, the camera for some reason stopped recording, that doesn’t make me feel safe. Regardless, once everyone’s settled, I’m going back to the house tonight, I have to find out what the bloody hell’s going on, because if somethings threatening my family, I have to stop it.

  • Twisted Roads Of Madness – This Is Not A Horror Film

Twisted Roads Of Madness – This Is Not A Horror Film

When I started this blog I wanted to hone my skills, explore ideas I had trapped in the inner depths of my mind, but instead, I somehow managed to unleashed an attack on my own sanity, one that won’t yield, given more power by me stupidly in giving a character in one of my stories free reign over the blog itself.

Since that day, I’ve been plagued by dreams bathed in nightmares, which have broken my sanity, my life has collapsed, I feel isolated from my family, my daughter has started seeing strange images of a deformed creature and everything I thought was true, has become twisted in lies and works of fiction.

The man from my dream, the one in the white room, he came to me again, he said he had a gift, a story, one written just for me. He handed me a folder, smiling broadly.

I asked what it was about, he laughed, and said it was about me, it was my story, all of it from the beginning to the end, and if I wanted to be free of all this, if I wanted to live, I needed to understand my role, why I was so important to him, the one in the shadows, and how I could change it to my advantage.

I felt my skin crawl, and then, he was gone, I was alone, normally I would’ve said it was a dream, another piece of my sanity slipping, I mean, this isn’t a horror movie, this isn’t another one of my stories, this is my life! But, I have the folder, I have his story, my story, I just don’t know if I have to courage to open it.

Daily Grind – Persistence Is Overrated

When I started this blog, when I took over this blog, I wanted to take back what was stolen from me by that imposter, the bastard who stole everything I’d written and claimed it as his own.

Since that day, I’ve been plagued by ghost from my past, dreams bathed in nightmares.

Slowly my sanity has broken, my life has collapsed and everything I thought was true, became twisted in lies and works of fiction.

  • Twisted Roads Of Madness – How To Be Creeped Out By Your Daughter

Twisted Roads Of Madness – How To Be Creeped Out By Your Daughter

Okay, I had to post this, because it creeped me the fuck out earlier and I’ve been on edge since. I was drawing with my daughter this afternoon, while my wife went to the supermarket to get ready for an epic afternoon, and I looked up from my scribbles to see what she was drawing and, well, it’s easier to show you instead of explaining what she had drawn.

I asked her what is was, and she said ‘silly daddy it’s the man who’s standing behind you!’ I must’ve went white as a ghost because she started looking at me strangely, Of course I turned around like a wild man, thankfully to find nothing there, she started laughing called me silly daddy again and went back to scrubbiling away. The worst thing is, if things could be classed as worse, I’ve had a sore shoulders for the last few days, like something’s been pushing down on me.

Needless to say, since then, every time I pass in front of a mirror, my eyes are drawn behind me, so far I haven’t seen anything, yet that is.

  • Twisted Roads Of Madness – Three Hundred And Sixty-Five Days

Twisted Roads Of Madness – Three Hundred And Sixty-Five Days

Originally I planned to write a big piece about how, after a solid year, after three hundred and sixty-five days, I’d managed to not only post a new story each and every day, but, at times posted multiple stories, creating more than I originally intended to post, it was going to be a massive self pat on the back. But, it seems, from what I am to understand, that is not true.

There is a problem, one I’m sure you’ve noticed over the last month, for the sake of helping you understand, we’ll call the problem, Marty.

But how can a fictional character be a problem, surely it was still me creating the stories, it was still upholding the rules of the challenge? Right?

    Wrong…

I received a cryptic phone call late yesterday afternoon, it was then I found myself in a conversation with a man who would not give his name, he just said, for theatrical purposes, his words, I could call him The Fear Master.

Okay, I know, over the last week I introduced a character by that very name to take over the blog as a way of continuing some sort of imbalance to the site, a higher authority who ruled over all, for everyone.

Anyway, he told me that Marty wasn’t ready to leave, neither was our other friend, and, that me giving Marty form, power of the blog, and a voice, had, well, had caused problems that cannot be easily resolved.

His argument was that Marty had taken some twenty days from my year long challenge, and in giving those days to him, I had not fulfilled the agreed upon deal. In doing this, he said I created a paradox overlapping this reality with Marty’s false reality, allowing not only Marty existence to be possible, but, the other as well, which has created a bigger problem, but, he has a solution.

I hung up the phone, he called back straight away, I did the whole don’t call back again crap, and once again hung up the phone, he of course called again, this time I didn’t bother putting it to my ear, I just slammed it down, and took it off the hook.

That was the end of the story, bang, over and out, some wack job wants to play stupid fucks, he can go elsewhere.

Of course, it wasn’t the end of it, was it.

I woke to the sound of someone humming around three, my wife was snoring beside me, the dog, doing the same at the foot of the bed. I rolled over and caught a glimps of someone moving past the bedroom door, instantly I was awake, I jumped out of bed, and rushed out into the hallway. Except, it want the hallway, it was a white room, where a smiling man, who looked familiar, but I don’t know why, was standing in front of another, who was sitting down on a seat in front of him, next to a busted up table. The man didn’t need to turn around, I knew who he was, but he did anyway, his face screwed up with hate and he charged at me. I had no fucking clue what to do, but as I braced myself he exploded into dust. Leaving me and the smiling man alone in the room, that’s when I noticed the other one, in the corner, it looked at me with its soulless, black eyes, but before anything could happen I woke up in bed.

I know it sounds like another crazy story, and with all the insanity that’s been going on here, I don’t blame you for not believe me, because I don’t.

But, an hour ago I got another call from the so called Fear Master, he asked me if I was ready to play his game, I asked him who he really was and he just laughed and said tomorrow we start, then hung up.

So, instead of celebrating a milestone, I’m scared, for I have no idea, what tomorrow will bring.

  • Twisted Tales Of The Damned – It’s All Dust In The End

Twisted Tales Of The Damned – It’s All Dust In The End

He came to me again last night, the man from the white room, I don’t know if I was sleeping or not, whatever was going on, whatever was happening, it didn’t matter anymore. he smiled, smirked even, then told me more stories, more lies of a life I’ve never lived. He assured me what he told me was true, but venom sprayed from his words, and it infected all.

He laughed when I demanded he leave, to get out of my home, it’s then he pointed out that we weren’t home anymore, we were in the white room again, the mirror was still broken, the table on its side, and, in the corner, crouched down in a ball, hissing and spitting like a wild animal, wasmy shadow self.

We sat there in silence, as the man chewed on some kind of chocolate bar, smiling every time we made eye contact, eventually I asked what was going on, why was I here in this room, this place again?

He said we’re waiting, we can’t get properly started until everyone is here, that’s when the door opened, and he stepped inside, the imposter, the one who stole my life, I launched from my seat at him, and the room shifted again, I was home, gripping nothing. I span around, my eyes searched every crevice, every crack, ripping it apart, and when I finally collapsed onto the ground, exhausted, frustrated, the man appeared onext more, he smiled, and shook his head.

The time was over for games, he said I needed to stop, to listen, and maybe, if I played my cards right, I would prosper. I didn’t get to ask any questions about what he meant, as he was gone after that, leaving me alone in my destruction. The laughing of a little girl pulled me from my stupor, she danced around the lounge room, laughing, singing, calling for me, her daddy to come play, I reached out to her, touching her cold hand as it evaporated into dust before my eyes.

Like I said, I don’t know if it was a dream, or something else, but whatever’s happening to me, it’s far from over.

  • Daily Grind – To Sleep, To Dream, To Be No More

Daily Grind – To Sleep, To Dream, To Be No More

I’m not sure, if this is a dream or reality, not anymore, but either way, whatever the case turns out to be, I need to share this, I need to write, no, not need, compelled, willed to, like, if I don’t write these words, then, there will be nothing, I, will be nothing.

    Maybe I am.

I slept again, this time for longer than 5 minutes, maybe longer, maybe an hour or more, I’m not sure, my sight isn’t the best, I’ve gone back to wearing glasses, something I haven’t needed to do, for, well, years.

I was in the white room again, the place with all the corridors, he was there, smiling, he said my name several times, calmly, leaning back on his seat.

My mouth was dry, I realized, as I went to cup my face, that my hands were bound to the chair, I looked up at him, rage seething through me, I asked him why, no, I demanded to know why. He told me to be calm, it was just a precaution, he said we didn’t need another episode like yesterday. What episode? What was this man on about, why was I here, what did he want of me.

He told me we’d had this conversation so many times over the last 8 years, but, this was the first time we’d had it more than once, in a day.

He told me 8 years ago I was tried and convicted on 15 separate counts of murder, including that of my wife and two daughters, he placed his hand on a folder, and asked if I wanted to look at the photos. I said no, he shrugged his shoulders and said if I change my mind, he has them ready.

I asked him if he could remove the bonds around my wrist, I promised I would not do anything volatile, he leaded across the table and smiled, then said no, he’d fallen for that once, he showed me a large scar that ran down the side of his face, that’s when I saw him, in the mirror, my shadow friend, he smiled, and told me I need to wake up.

He saw me looking at my reflection, and asked who was talking to me, I told him, he called it by a name, Roundhead, I shook my head, that was his name for it, the imposters, it had another name, it’s true name, he smiled and leaned back, scribbling something on a note board.

Then he said something strange, and these are his words as best I can remember them, he said ‘so do you think Matthew can come out and play?’ as soon as he asked that question, everything erupted into insanity. The room ripped apart and my shadow self, torn through the mirror, growing rapidly in size, tearing through my flesh, until it filled up half of the room. Towering over him, it let out a low deep growl and said it was the only one who would be playing, for today, the end comes for him, and then it struck him with it’s gigantic, clawed hand, his blood sprayed outward, some landing across my face.

That’s when I woke up, on the floor of the lounge room, my clothes were soaked, and I had wet myself at some stage of the night. I dragged myself into a cold shower, smoked my arse off, and then sat down to write this, so I guess, if anyone reads this, it means that it was another fucked up dream, and if no one does, well, fuck, I’m shit outta luck, right?

Daily Grind – Magnificent Beings Of Light

My mind is coming undone, as is my world.

My shadow friend, the one who’s been visiting me so often, is now like a mirror of myself, his face scarred, his body, bruised, broken, old, and his eyes, empty, the spark of darkness gone.

He tells me it’s his fault, their fault, they are trying to unmake him, unmake, all of us, he fears the truth will soon shatter reality and when it does, all that is, will cease to exist, and, not even I will be left.

I demand to know his secrets, what lies he has told me, misfortune he says, misfortune is the truth, is reality, one that I must face, but, will I be whole, will I be ready when the curtain closes.

He speaks in riddles, not as jolly as they once were, not soaked in the blood of others, now, softly spoken, restrained, its energy gone.

Then I hear my name, and my voice reply, but yet I said nothing, I wander through my home, as if it is unknown to me, almost getting lost as corridor after corridor join on to the last, finally, I find my way into a room, white, smelling of chemicals, suddenly I’m sitting alone in the room, and then, he is there standing before me.

He smiles, and grips my shoulder, assuring me that everything will be fine, soon I’ll be done with all this, it’s not his words that I feared, it was the sadness in his eyes, he gripped me again, tightly by the shoulder, not in anger, but in compassion, reassurance, this man, I knew him, he knew me, but, who was he.

I ask him why he was here, who he was, and what has he done to my home, his face became sadder, and he smiles again, he said once again everything was going to be alright, that sometimes, a battle with no reward, is a battle best lost.

And then, he was gone, I was standing in the doorway to my lounge room, home, a child sat on the floor, playing with Lego, she beckoned me to join her, a smile on her face, she called me daddy, I reached out to her, I felt my lip trembling, I, I was disoriented, and he grabbed my arm, shaking his head in displeasure, my shadow friend, was he me, was I it, or were we one in the same, are we all just one mind fractured into many?

The little girl disappeared, and I was alone once more, lost in my thoughts, so I sat on the couch for hours, staring at the spot where she sat, her words buzzing around my head, as were those of the strange man, and my shadow friend.

Day 362 – It Waits In The Basement – YouChallenge Short Story

“I’m telling you Kyle, no bullshit, I saw them going at it with my own eyes, Kendra and Mr Wells, not more than five minutes ago!” He yells at his younger brother, who rolls over and pretends to be asleep.

“Kyle, for god sake, you’ve got to come and have a look, you’ll regret it for the rest of your life if you don’t, always wondering what they looked like out in the open,” he says, Kyle turns over and stares at Lincoln, who’s smile stretches from one ear to the other.

“What make you think I wanna see them?”

  • Daily Grind – The Truth According To Clouds

Daily Grind – The Truth According To Clouds

I had a moment, not too long ago, it could’ve been hours, or minutes, days even for all I know, but it was a realization, as the truth dawned on me, and then, moments later, disappeared into the void as though it was a clouds passing by, and the image I saw in it, the shape, gone as quickly as it formed.

But I tasted the blood, I felt the pain, I, I think it was them, my family, their blood spilling, a blade in my hand, then, at my own face,, ripping, tearing, could it be true?

The doctors say its normal, the trauma I experienced was deep, not just of the flesh, but my mind, it fractured into pieces, and I started developing, I keep losing my train of thought, things happen, mysterious things, confusing me, trying to send me off the deep end, trying to bust open the gate that is locked inside, that it hides behind, something dark, memories, or maybe worse.

Then there’s Gareth and his drawings, he doesn’t realize he’s just as infected as I am, if he were to look in the mirror he would soon see his own reshaping’s, his decay, and rebirth as a darkling.

Doctors? Words, words that have no place here, words I did not write, there are no doctor’s, there is no normality, there is only now, there is only this, the shifting sands of what is, what was, what never could have been, and, what will be, although I can’t even trust this blog anymore, I write words and others appear, someone, is playing with my mind, it’s him, the deceiver, I know you’re listening, I know you’re awake, somewhere in there.

Time is ticking out, and its ticking out for you, Matthew.
