Day 145 – Khufu – Short Story

“So what, you think it’s him?”

“We’ll know more once we get the fabric carbon tested, but, I think we’ve found him,” he says with a beaming smile. “Point the flashlight over here Mortimer, there seems to be an entrance to another room, obstructed by some of the artifacts.”

“Another room, are you sure?”

“Yes, yes, I’m almost certain, and I bet you’re thinking the same thing I am, aren’t you?..

  1. I wrote a similar tale about the middle of last month called “Rising of the Ancient where two archeologist thought they’d discovered the secret tomb of Jesus near a small Egyptian tomb. The result of their mistake was about the same. Archeologists never end well.

      1. It’s always interesting, to read, watch and study majestic stories of how the world was back then. You always think, has the world improved, or is it just he technology that’s better, the world itself has gotten worse… more, grey, instead of black and white.

      2. exactly, I agree, quite a lot! the way it seems only the technology has improved, the things we are building will wash away with waves of time, but the things they left for us, 5000 years ago are still giving us immense joy!
