Know The Sufferage – 100 Word Microfiction Short Story

I entered a short story competition that required me to write a 1000 word short story in 48 hours. The story needed to meet three things, a genre (A Ghost Story), a location (An Igloo) and an object (A Coffee Mug). It took me a while to find the right idea and to get it to work in a way I was happy with. But like the last time I entered something similar, I enjoyed the desire to find the story that sparked the right way for me. Know The Sufferage

The cavern collapse, and Andy is pinned to the ground in bloody fashion. Sarah casts a fevered glance behind her, and gasps in horror, before she hits the wall. Like a ball she bounces off the wall, and crashes to the ground on her bottom.

She sits there for several uncomfortable moments as she forgets everything that is going on around her.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Andy yells at her, she looks up and her mouth drops open in shock.

“Y-Y-Y-Y…”

“I know,” he says with a frown. “I’m dead, but you don’t need to be as well!”
