Let me see,

History repeats in a haggard troupe,

venom on the side boards,

blood stuck in their throats,

a blade for all who came,

a swing,

a sway,

a blazing sun scorched in a sea of red,

Behind the door of a haggard wisdom,

Spectacular symphonies,

arranged in flavours,

separated by sin,

my own shape,

missing beneath the flesh,

a perfect circle,

Through blood red tears,

I see the shades of grey,

reflective surfaces,

a fledgling albatross,

foreboding facts,

limits absolved,

forgiveness,

too late…

An emptiness broken,

an unknown open,

a doorway spoken,

words misspelt,

steps misplaced,

a travelling circus full of monsters,

a theatre of penance,

a mask to hide beneath,

my sins not my own,

my mind not mine,

an uncontrolled whisper,

a shadow unknown,

my ferry ride to the other side,

my coins over my eyes,

your dress of red,

my careless pride,

ask not I,

ask not why…

Symphonies of deception,

bathed in the light of a beautiful heart,

yet you’re not there,

you left me without a soul,

you played a game lost down the path of no return,

the wheels moved,

the cart rolled forward,

we moved together,

in different directions,

the sky cried,
