I entered a short story competition that required me to write a 1000 word short story in 48 hours. The story needed to meet three things, a genre (Crime Caper), a location (A shrine) and an object (A cash register). It took me a while to find the right idea and to get it to work in a way I was happy with. But like the last time I entered something similar, I enjoyed the desire to find the story that sparked the right way for me. With A Jiggle And A Wiggle
“We have one solid lead, and I will leave the particulars of that lead up to Detective Newport to discuss,” Commissioner Watts says as she steps to the said, and Newport takes a nervous step forward, giving Watts a disgruntled glance of dissatisfaction as he does.
He clears his throat and stares out at the faces of the reporters.
“The individual in question managed to not only break into the impenetrable safe beneath the government chambers, but they also stole everything that was housed within that safe. Currently we know the individual was dressed in a red and white suit.”
