“Now comes the true test, remove your hands from the fire, and see if it is but a touch you need.”

“I-I-I’m scared,” she says softly, as she stares at the glowing orb beneath her palms. “I’ve never been scared of anything, ever, even when I could feel before. W-W-Why is that?” she asks as she looks back up at him.

He smiles nervously. “I-I-It must be the flood of emotions, overwhelming your sense with feelings decades forgotten. I-I-I’m sure once you get used to these feelings again, you will regain some type of composure, and control their toxic flow”
