He We Three – 100 Word Microfiction Short Story

I entered a short story competition that required me to write a 100 word short story in 24 hours. The story needed to meet three things, a genre (Sci-Fi), an event (Seeing a rainbow) and to use a certain word (Micro). It took me a while to find the right idea and to get it to work in a way I was happy with. But like the last time I entered something similar, I enjoyed the desire to find the story that sparked the right way for me. So, for the sake of creativity, here is 1 of the 24 rejected stories in a 100 word format..


He We Three

The floor moves beneath their feet as if it were alive. Flicker tumbles forward as she loses her footing, and hits the moist floor with a soggy thud, quickly she springs back to her feet wiping membrane and mucus from her clothing.
“You really know how to get down and dirty chasing rainbows don’t ya?” Roddy quips sarcastically.
“Keep your smartarsed remarks to yourself, I can’t help it if you didn’t realise that your microscopic cock would be the same size it always was compared to the rest of your body!” she says with a wry grin across her face.
