A Mess Of Broken Catastrophes – Twisted Microfiction 2020TOO

….The car hits the wall, and Samhail crashes through the windscreen and careers into the wall as if he was a bug hitting the windscreen he had just smashed his way through. With a loud piercing scream the cars horn cries into the night sky for countless moments, and then with a stuttered crescendo it fades away and leaves the smoke that rises from the cars broken form to do so in silence.

“THERE! STOP THE TAPE THERE!” Patrick yells as he strides over to the screen, and almost presses his face against it before turn back to the others with stoic resolve. “Did you all see it? D-Did you all see how the bastard evaded is again?”

Lisa looks around the room at the others, silently sharing her concerned with those who will meet it, before finally looking back towards her unhinged friend.

“I’m sorry Patrick, you have lost not only me, but I’m sure when I say this, I speak for everyone, you have lost us all. What are we supposed to be seeing here in this gratuitous video you have brought before us?”

Patrick rolls his eyes and lets out an exasperated sigh. “FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS SANE, CANNOT YOU SEE? CANNOT YOU SEE THE DECEIVER! HE WHO VIOLATED NOT ONLY OUR TRUST, BUT OUR VERY SENSE OF SELF! HIM!”….
