Not Gonna Say It – Twisted Microfiction 2020TOO

….“Blind ambition isn’t factual, it’s a feat performed by those in the know, which in hindsight shows very little importance.” she snaps with an almost careless blasé.

“You sound as if you’ve been part of the problem before, or have you just been given the excuses only to find out it was all about you the whole time?”

“Do you say pretty things like that to all the girls, or do you save it all for your mother?”

“My mother left when I was a kid, I never knew her, and if I had the chance to, I wouldn’t be saying pretty things!”

“A smart woman your mother.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“You look like a few of those brain cells survived what happened to the rest of whatever you call it,” she says slyly while gesturing towards his head. “Or am I being too ambiguous with my assumptions?”

“All talk and bravado, how about you chance fate and make it a fair fight?”

She smiles broadly, flicking her tongue across her teeth with playful tact. “Lover boy, this is how I even the playing field! If I was to put the advantage into your court, I would be the foolish one, wouldn’t I?”

“You’d be less ballsy!” he spits with a over saturated grimace….
