I entered a short story competition that required me to write a 100 word short story in 24 hours. The story needed to meet three things, a genre (Sci-Fi), an event (Seeing a rainbow) and to use a certain word (Micro). It took me a while to find the right idea and to get it to work in a way I was happy with. But like the last time I entered something similar, I enjoyed the desire to find the story that sparked the right way for me. So, for the sake of creativity, here is 1 of the 24 rejected stories in a 100 word format..

A Spance Of Life
“I said I was okay with it all, and I meant it! So stop trying to micromanage everything and just do what we came here to do!” Gordon hisses through clenched teeth.
Hando stares at him aggressively, lets out a thrusting breath, then smiles and grabs Gordon by the side of the head and pulls him in close.
“You know what it is I fucking hate about rainbows?” Hando sneers gruffly, then pulls his head back and drives a coma inducing head-butt into Gordon, knocking him to the ground. “You can’t feel a fucking rainbow, but you can a head-butt!”
