Disrupting The Merry-Go-Round – 100 Word Microfiction Short Story

I entered a short story competition that required me to write a 100 word short story in 24 hours. The story needed to meet three things, a genre (Sci-Fi), an event (Seeing a rainbow) and to use a certain word (Micro). It took me a while to find the right idea and to get it to work in a way I was happy with. Disrupting The Merry-Go-Round

The light breathes new life into the room as it casts its ever-glaring touch upon the darkness that up until some moments ago strangled the life from Hans and his whore of a sister Lian. Pieter shields his swollen eyes, letting out a hiss of pain as the sun scorches him, but not for long, as a shadow quickly blocks the suns burning light from searing his flesh. He looks up to see Sanyo standing before him with a smile beaming from his face, and a rainbow proudly colouring the sky behind him.
“Micro man, you yet still live! HAZZA!”
