“I-I-I, I never saw a-anything.” she stammers with an obvious panic in her voice.

His smile broadens. “I never said you did.”

She swallows nervously. “I-I-I, I won’t t-tell anyone, ANYTHING!”

“If you truly saw nothing, then there is nothing to tell, but to promise you would say you saw nothing, tells me you saw something.”

She shakes her head vigorously. “N-N-No, n-n-no, I s-saw nothing! I-I-I SWEAR!”

HE CROUCHES GEBTLY DIW BEFORE HER, which causes her to force herself further into the tight corner. “Why don’t you come out from your hidey-hole and let us talk like reasonable adults.
