    It’s all coming true,

    at first I thought,

    it was all a dream,

I thought it couldn’t be real,

but as the days draw closer,

    and the reality sinks in,

    this beast it lives,

    it hungers so,

    for what we carry inside,

    the seed to life,

    the idea of it all,

    it wants it’s power,

    it needs it so,

    to break the barrier,

    to come and play,

    with our world,

    with it’s own sick game.

    I’m losing,

    it’s gaining the upper hand,

    everything I do,

    it counters,

everything I place in it’s way,

    it moves,

    blood is on my hands,

    yours,

    the worlds,

    I can’t stop it,

    I never had a chance,

    he was an idea,

    a chance,

    but she sold herself,

    allowed the beast in,

    shared her secrets,

    her sins,

    it devoured her whole,

    and with her,

    so do we perish,

    unless,

    maybe,

the ending is not yet set.

    While I slept,

    while I dreamed,

the beast it did visit me,

    it showed me things,

    I wished not to see,

    a river of blood,

    a valley of darkness,

    buried within was my sin,

    too late did I cry,

    for I was already gone,

    the beast has my seedling,

    the beast has my soul,

    so run dear reader,

    keep far away,

    because it is coming,

    the beast,

    is here to stay.

    Day 155 – Fragile – 50 Word Story Expanded

“A fragile heart, is an easy thing to break. I give you fair warning, it won’t be as simple as you think to win him over.”

“I’m well aware there’s more than one way to a man’s heart, not just through his rib cage,” she says with an evil smile. He grabs her, and they kiss.

“I love it when you talk dirty like that, about all the inner things,” he says, she pushes him away and laughs.

“Dermott, we have expired, you are nothing, a memory, how can I make you understand?”

“Just like that? After everything I’ve done for you? I won’t be just thrown to the curb like the rest, I deserve better than that, I deserve more…

    It’s getting closer,

    can you feel it?

    Can you smell it?

    I know I can,

I see it when I close my eyes,

    it’s rows of teeth,

    it’s eyes of black,

    it taunts me,

    it laughs,

    how helpless am I,

    its servant,

    its minion,

    the first who will die,

    I can’t save you all,

    but I will try…

    Don’t share it,

    don’t read it,

    don’t speak its words,

    for it will feel it,

    will know it,

and it will come for your sins,

    our sins,

given to us when our seeds were planted,

    back when our lives began,

    so close your eyes,

    and turn away,

    forget this place,

    escape it’s hold,

for once you let it in,

    you’ll never be free again.

Day 152 – The Roundhead Prelude 11 – It Knows, No End

“Powerful stuff, I like how it twists and turns its way through reality, quite a clever concept, it could really work in a weekly episode format,” Jacob says as he looks up from the tablet at Suzan, she leans back in her chair, looking up at the ceiling with a smile on her face.

“I like the concept, a writer’s story that goes haywire and kills the writer and the artist that brought it to life and then erupts over mankind as it makes its move to control the world. Apparently they have another six chapters to post, but I really think we should make a move now, while we have the chance, before Netflix, or someone else gets in on the action, offering money that we can never match…

  • Day 147 – The Roundhead Prelude 10 – Hiding, Inside

Day 147 – The Roundhead Prelude 10 – Hiding, Inside

He stares at the dried blood, splattered against the wall, his eyes slowly follow the trail left behind, up and down, along and around, following the curves of each letter, until he reaches the end. He swallows a dry, coarse mouthful of air, it tears at his throat like a ball of barbed wire, as it slides down, exploding into his lungs. Beads of sweat begins to seep from his forehead run down his face, he places a hand against his chest, feeling each powerful beat of his heart, lost in his own world, desperately, trying to find answers, to solve the riddle before him, a voice breaks the silence and pulls him into the world.

“Seventeenth victim in the last half an hour, three blocks apart, and not one son of a bitch saw anything, the security cameras don’t pick up anyone except the John entering and we’ve got nothing…. Are you even fucking listening to me Mackenzie?” A balding suited detective says to him, he slowly turns and nods.

“Keep going, what about the cameras?” He says softly.

He clears his throat before he continues, “Security camera’s are useless, there’s no footage to show anyone else entering the apartment.”

“That’s a shame, this was the only one with something going for it, the chance, for us to catch a break,” Mackenzie mutters.

“Are you sure you’re okay? You don’t look the best.”

“We’re face some crazed maniac, there’s nowhere else I should be but here.”

The door to the apartment crashes open and a large man burst into the room, “You gotta fucking help me! You gotta save me!” he screams.

“What the fuc….” He stops, his mouth drops open, they all turn, as it’s huge, clawed hands, grip the door frame, and it’s monstrous form, steps through, ripping, tearing, destroying the doorway, like a wrecking ball. It looks around the room, it’s eyes, it’s pools of nothingness, searches each of them, looking into their very soul, until, it comes to a rest on Mackenzie.

“This is my story, I will not be played, I create, you, obey,” it growls, in a low, gravely voice, flickering in and out of focus, like a poorly tuned radio.

“W-W-What?” Mackenzie says, the beast lunches forward, grabbing him by the throat and slams him against the wall. It’s stench wafts at him, tearing at his eyes, stinging, his nose runs, his face feels as if it’s been splashes with acid, it leans in closer, until, shots ring out as the other detective opens fire. The beast, it turns, throwing Mackenzie to the ground, it grabs the detective by his outstretched arms, crushing both his hands, and then rips them from their sockets, he screams, as blood pumps from his torn flesh, but the beast, it grabs his head and twists and he is silent. More shots tear into it’s side, the beast lets out a cry, a scream, a growl of aggression, dominance, power and moves through the room swiftly, until, only it stands, and the room, is bathed in blood. It turns back to find Mackenzie is gone, and looks towards you, as you read these lines, the sudden smell of rotting meat fills your nostrils, your stomach churns, the, you feel it’s breath on the back of your neck, followed by it’s words, “His distractions won’t stop me, for soon you will see, there’s nothing he can do, to stop me from getting to you!”

  • What Sights We Have To Show You… Welcome To Month Five

What Sights We Have To Show You… Welcome To Month Five

Welcome my friends, let us take a seat, as I have many words to tell you and only time for some of them to sink into your wretched skin…

Is it true, have we really managed 123 days of mayhem and insanity?

Yes, yes it is true, somehow I’ve managed to fight my way through this journey that has, at times, become more of a monster than any of the stories I could ever hope to write.

So, without too much fucking about, what are the things you should expect to see from this point on as we move into September and towards October….

    First things, first….

ROUNDHEAD is coming, ROUNDHEAD is coming!!!

    RoundheadFinal.jpg

With the preludes almost halfway through, and the beast itself making a surprising cameo in a 50 word story, we are of course dragging our heels terribly well, as we try to build the excitement and frustration, for our October 25th release of the first Roundhead chapter, which by the way, all these preludes take place after, not before, and then on the 26th Chapter Two will wrap up all the insanity of the preludes in one nice box, and drive you all the way until the 31st, for a Halloween ending of insane proportions. So if you haven’t had a look, you can find preludes

    Prelude One HERE

    Prelude Two HERE

    Prelude Three HERE

    Prelude Four HERE

    and

    Prelude Five HERE

And once you’ve done all that, the sixth prelude is released tonight, I hope…

I know, a lot of fucking work just to be a prelude, but it all helps you hit the floor running, without hitting the door.

    Secondly….

YouChallenges will continue as a Wednesday only thing, while the idea of doing more is there, I’m finding challenges that are more on the spot situations instead of, oh, I’ll do that one when I get inspired, which, in some cases is a month or more. eyes2

So, instead we’re going to attack your senses you with more 50 Word Stories. I know, they seem to have become a mini addiction of mine, one that’s causing me no end of torment, as I’m adding them to the list, but, strangely, outside the normal days challenge. That may change eventually, but for now, you’ll get a 50 Word Story in the morning, and then, sometimes in the evening, you’ll get a 50 Word Story Expanded version. I think, these work, I’m not sure, what do you think? I am enjoying them anyway, so you’ll see more, and, as always, you’re welcome to expand any of the 50 word shorts if you like. Above, is the first attempt at a 50 Word Story, called Eyes.

Thirdly… Or, if you like, Lastly….

Sometime during the last month I was presented with an award from a fellow blogger, upon reflection of it, I realised the opportunity to do something more with this monthly blabbering moment of insanity, something like sharing with you a gimps of the world around me, so each month I’ll share a few blog posts for blogs I follow, posts that I enjoyed over the last month and think others should read, not that others aren’t, but really, just so I can say aloud, to my readers, this was great. I don’t really know how many just yet, and honestly, don’t care it’s my space to use as I like, so if I want twenty, I’ll post twenty. Anyway, without any more pissing around, I’ll say welcome to month five, now, lets strap on, or strap in, and enjoy the ride….

Blog post I’ve really enjoyed over the last month.

    Boston’s Bad Day

This story, it, was awesome, really raw, gripping, a fantastic tale.

    When I Get You Alone

I really liked how this one dragged you in with the imagery, the feel, great stuff.

The Year Of Heddagth – Chapter 1

I know it’s older than the last month, but you really need to get on the ground floor, well, not really, you can enjoy each piece separately, but, the story calls you to read it from the start!

Me and Buzz and Skinny Dipping!

This story, was awesome, it just drags you in, forcing you to want more and more, worth a read.

    Splatter

A tale handled so well that you would think this was the writers bread and butter, a first smash attempt at the thrilling genre, I’m sure we’ll see more.

The First and the Last Chapter One: Morning

An adventure into a world of medieval fantasy, with darkness and light, you can taste the blood, feel the pain, a great read, get on now if your into this sort of shite!

Wicked Grin – Chapter 9: The Vampire Urge

A brilliant read,  read them all, but read this first or in order, but it doesn’t matter, because once you read one, you’ll read the rest, great stuff!

    Wow

By chance I came across this blog, and I was happy I did, the beginnings are always so interesting to watch, and what a great one this was.

The Line For Cock Starts Here

Way too many I like here, if you enjoy a bit of wrongness, you’ll really love this!

    The Other White Meat

So much to look at over in The Deadman’s Tome, and this one was a stand out!

So, there we have it, 10 blog posts that I really enjoyed over the last month, and there are plenty more, more than I can remember, out there to read, I’ll make sure, next month, to post another bunch of great stuff, until then, keep weird, and if you have a great blog post, smash it in the comments and I might throw it in next months list, unless it sucks, and then well…..

  • Day 119 – The Roundhead Prelude 5 – Stench – 50 Word Story Expanded

    Day 119 – The Roundhead Prelude 5 – Stench – 50 Word Story Expanded

**This takes place after chapter one of The Roundhead and before chapter two**

This takes place after chapter one of The Roundhead and before chapter two.

“That’s total bullshit, I like to read, but this is bullshit,” he yells as he tosses his tablet on the bed and quickly rushes to the toilet. “Are you listening to me?” he yells out.

“No, I’m ignoring you because you’re just ranting again.”

“Ranting? Seriously? Have you even read this shit?”

“I don’t need to, you read half of it to me already, and it sounded okay by the way, but your running commentary ruined it.”

He flushes the toilet and sticks his head out of the doorway, “What? My commentary would’ve made it. I swear to god, the next time I come across some wannabe Stephen King, I’m going to pass. I can’t wait to talk about this on the show tonight.”

“What, you’re going to talk about it on the show?”

“Of course, why do you recon I read it all the way through?”

“But don’t you think that will defeat the purpose of you disliking it?”

    “What?”

“Well, if you go and talk about it on air, won’t that get people interested in reading it? And thus, possibly putting yourself in the firing line of those same people if they enjoy it?”

“No one’s going to like this piece of shit, honey, no one.”

    “How can you be sure?”

He walks out of the bathroom and picks his tablet back up from the bed, “Let’s see, I’ll throw the challenge out to my listeners to read the story before the show starts, then we’ll see who’s right and who’s wrong,” He says as he opens up a new post and beings typing away.

“I think you’re only going to embarrass yourself, it’s been liked and shared by a few million people already, and that tells me it must be at least okay.”

“Fuck them, and anyway, maybe it might help the show get bigger rating tonight,” he says with a smile, as he tosses the tablet back onto the bed once more.

“You shifty fucker,” she says as he jumps onto the bed with her.

“Honey, I’m all about the listeners,” he says with a smile as they kiss, the lights in the bedroom begin to flicker and flash, exploding around them, followed by silence.

“What the fuck?” she says as she pushes him away.

    “A fuse maybe?”

“Fuses don’t blow fucking lights like that, maybe a power sur-r-r-r……” she screams as a pale, boy stands at the foot of the bed, his eyes black pools of nothingness, they both leap up and he quickly grabs a baseball bat from beside the bed, holding it up towards the boy, while she clutches his shoulder, taking shelter behind him.

“What the fuck do you want?” he yells

“Tonight it comes to take you in, to cover you soul with its sin, it slithers its way across the night, burning the world with its light, it calls for blood, it calls for you, and you’ll fear its name, before the night is through!” and then he flickers like a waning candle, and, then, is gone, leaving them both standing there terrified. Neither move for a minute or more before she begins screaming, and tumbles backwards, through the on-suite door and smashes her head on the toilet, he frantically reaches out for her, but, his attention is drawn behind him, as he hears a low, inhuman gurgling noise coming from the darkness of the room. He scans the darkness several times before he finally sees it, as it moves forward, towards him. His eyes, wide with fright, watch its distorted, unnatural movements as it steps closer, and closer towards him. His nostrils burn, as its stench wafts into his face, he feels the contents of his stomach surge from within and out onto the floor, as the beast now stands before him.

    “W-W-W-What the f-f–fuck are you?”

“I am the beast underneath your bed, I am the thing that will devour your soul, I am what you called forth when you shared my sin, I am death,” it says in a deep, gravelly voice, like fingernails along a black board. It’s dark, black, soulless eyes stare at him, it’s teeth, sharp, and plentiful, it’s jaw, strong, and its form large and powerful.

“P-P—Please,” he sods and falls to his knees. “Please,” he says softly once more as it lunges forward and grabs his head in one of its huge hands, and squeezes.

“Please sir, I was hungry, I’ve haven’t eaten in days, I didn’t want to take it, but I saw you had more…” The boy doesn’t get to finish his sentence as the man slaps him across the face, knocking him to the ground.

“Shut up child, you have made your bed, now you must pay the price with your life!”

“Rademer stop this foolishness,” another man yells as he grabs Rademer by the arm and pushes him away.

“You dare touch me like I am a lowly peasant, are you actually defending this boy?”

“He’s starving for god sake, let him take the bread, you have proven your point, killing him will do nothing!”

“It will do plenty Jensen, it will teach all the other rats out there not to touch what is mine, like you will learn…

Day 99 – Ghosts Of Forever – Short Story

She looks over to Bennett, and grips his hand tightly, he squeezes back in return and forces a smile, but his eyes tell her a different tale, one filled with uncertainty. But she didn’t expect anything different from him, for the past two days all he’s done is try and talk her out of tonight’s venture, but she hasn’t budged, and to his credit, he kept his promise, and came along with her. She turns slowly towards an older gentleman who sits at the opposite end of the table and tightly grips hold of her other hand. His grey hair recedes as it gets closer to the crown of his skull, his jet black eyebrows hang over his eyes, which remain tightly closed, and the moustache of his goatee quivers due to his lips trembling as he mutters sentences under his breathe, she feels his grip slowly begin to tighten, and lets out a small grimace of pain. His eyes shoot open and the room’s temperature drops quickly, her eyes widen in disbelief as she can not only see her breath in front of her, but she can feel the thickness of it in her lungs each time she breathes in…

Day 95 – Private Session – Black Label Short Story

She places her phone on the table and stretches her arms in the air and lets out a long, drawn out yawn, before pulling the blanket off from around her legs and walks over to the small bench that makes up the better part of her kitchen and picks up a strawberry from a plate and stuffs it in her mouth. She grabs the plate and quickly settles herself back down on the couch, opening up her laptop that sits on the table. She types in an address in the browser and waits for a few moments as the site come up before she logs into the live cams website and sits back, having another strawberry from the plate as she waits. Which isn’t very long, as an icon at the top of the screen flashes, and she leans in and smiles.

‘You’re back :)’ comes up on the screen.

“I told you I would be,” she says with a smile…

“Yes, yes, did I do anything wrong, I didn’t think I did anything wrong, I was…” he says quickly until the officer interrupts him.

  • Day 89 – Caged Heat – Short Story

Day 89 – Caged Heat – Short Story

It was Tuesday, I think, I’m not really sure anymore, but let’s say it was Tuesday when she first showed up, looking like she had just walked out of a Victoria Secrets catalogue, all hot and tempting. I’ve never been one to back away from anything, and she, was not going to be the first, so I grabbed my lunch from the cafeteria and sat beside her, holding out my hand and introducing myself. She smiled and said her name was Jenny, with a little pushing I found out she had just moved here with her parents from the mainland, apparently her dad had taken a new job and forced the whole family to move down here with him, I could tell she wasn’t happy. She had to uproot her life in her final year of high school, leave all her friends and come here, to live, knowing no one. She wasn’t the nicest person I’d ever had the pleasure at meeting, sharp and rude, but not too rude, I mean, I got all that out of her in just one sitting. She was uppity though, I mean I couldn’t blame her, she was a fish out of water and apparently I was the first person besides the teachers who had even bothered to talk to her. I said it was because she was hot and a lot of people didn’t know how to act around hot people…
