I See It – Wrapped In Words

I see it,

in the shadows of my mind,

in the flesh before me,

beckoning me to join it,

to do what it asks of me,

its song is sweet,

dragging me deeper into this hell it calls home,

I try to fight it,

I try to hold on,

but it’s words,

wrapped in madness,

bathed in blood,

envelope me in its whispers,

and I can not fight,

I’ve nothing left to lose,

I’ve nothing left to take,

but still it calls,

still,

it steals my fate.
