the call of a weapon,

the crest of a ghost,

fear personified,

stories are told,

the coming of a messiah,

the falling of a soul,

scream as you call my name,

closed eyes as you search for me,

I’m not hiding,

I’m not scared,

I’m standing on the hilltop,

waiting for a tomorrow,

waiting for a war,

waiting for you to be there…
