Flavoured To Sour – Unhinged Poem

She kissed my forehead,

believing my words,

allowing the door to close on a lie that was no longer true,

we shared a lost moment,

she gave me the smile,

the wrong way,

the long way,

then she looked back,

she saw the lies for what they were,

the tears in her eyes flowed free,

I bore my sin,

she bore my seed,

a wickedness,

a weakness,

a separation of substance,

my forever child,

my salt flavoured sin…
