Polar Bears Can’t Swim – Unhinged Poem 2020TOO

I sat upon the deck that was still soiled with our blood, the memories cascade one after the other, silence still, my beating heart, chosen was the road taken, but apart.

We sang when we were young, yet it never send enough, a shiny star above our bed, forgiveness in our heart, I saw the song before I heard the words, drifting from high to low without care or poise.

Yet still the sin followed me, never left my side, never forgave me.

While deep below the waters edge, you lie in deaths peaceful embrace…
