For My Flock Giveth To Me – Short Story

“I have ventured through the winds of what was to stand here with you and make this ours to behold. What right do you have to dare take that away from me!” Sauviant growls through clenched teeth.

He smiles broadly, and placed an open hand on the table. “When the dawn broke on the third day of this year something wonderful took place. For those without true eyes, they did not notice for they hardly notice the passing of time, let alone the passing of it which created all things. Through paths intertwined with the paths of others, a journey was forged in the nothingness of what tomorrow could be. As I stand here before I shed skins of other moments, skins of other worlds that being such as you have never seen I ask words filled with importance. I ask questioned racked with guilt an servitude. I ask that you, but one man, one human man what have you to give but nothing back to everything, and I find the answer is silence.”

“I-I-I, I feel no evil. I fear no doubts of my sworn abilities soaked in the wonderful light of the blood of those who gave their lives so I could see through the clouds of reality. I am more than man. I am more than a god. I am a beginning and the ending. I am the serpent of infinity, so heed my words and fear me!”

His eyes glow with volatile colours tinted with bright reds and fiery oranges. “You dare claim these things. You dare chastise me! You dare speak words as though you really have some sort of power over me or this moment. Let me show you,” He hisses, as the room folds in on itself and  Sauviant finds himself staring into his own blank dead eyes, maggots tumble from his mouth while a million flies buzz wildly feeding on his rotten flesh. He feels a hand powerfully fall on his shoulder as he’s pulled back into his pitiful throne room.

“Now tell me again how you are all and everything?” He says with a wickedly evil laugh as   Sauviant stares at him silently, as a puddle of urine forms beneath him.

  • Pacifying His Word – Short Story

Pacifying His Word – Short Story

“Dare thee not what you cannot achieve, only do what you must see as a beginning surrounded by the end of something else. For this is what birth requires when the destiny of you and I are not what it seems. When the scriptures that we have been guided by all our lives are nothing but a deception ingrained in the very existence of forever by a simplistic notion such as belief that stems from words written in stone and buried beneath the feet of those who possess and believe its rubbish,” Tyler says venomously as he looks around the room, catching the fear in all their eyes and allows a smile to escape his lips.

“Fear what tomorrow may bring my succulent children. Fear the commitment you make on this day. Fear the lies we all sow within each moment we draw breath. For when the end comes, and your strength will be call upon you must be ready or the ending fate of the red sun will collapse around in a ball of obliteration!”

“SHAME ON YOU!” A voice calls out from the back of the group, as eyes dart backwards the crowd parts to reveal a woman in her mid to late eighties hunched over, holding herself up by a metal walking frame.

“I’m sorry you old hag, but what makes you think your option matters here in MY house?” He says with a nervous smile.

“Your house! This ain’t YOUR house boy. This is the house of someone far greater than you. This is the house of someone who makes you look as small as a microscopic shit eating flea, and you should value my opinion for it is an opinion bathed in the light of the one true lord and savior you and all your demented flock should be following.”

He feels his heart jump in his chest and a trembling spreads from the center of his core to every corner of who his is, and then he falls to the ground lifeless.

“Does anyone else want to pretend to be, all they can be?” The old woman says with an evil glimmer in her eyes.

  • A Warning Of Tongues – Short Story

A Warning Of Tongues – Short Story

“AT LEAST HAVE THE BALLS TO LOOK AT ME WHEN YOU’RE BREAKING MY HEART YOU GUTLESS BASTARD!” Kimora screams as she slaps him across the face. He momentarily glanced to before looking back down at the glass that sits before him.

“There’s no nee..” he doesn’t get to finish as she slaps him across the face again, this time drawing blood.

“You forfeited the right to take part in anything I do the moment you allowed that thing into our bed.”

He looks up desperately at her, his eyes welling with tears. “It’s not like that, I never asked for it. I never allowed it. It just happened. A mistake! Surely you understand that. Surely you can see that it was a mistake and nothing more. I never planned for anything to happen. I never planned for it to end up in bed with me. I n…”

“ENOUGH!” She says as she grabs him by the jaw and squeezes, causing his mouth to open awkwardly. She shoves her other hand into his mouth and grabs his tongue between her fingers and pulls it out then lets go of his jaw, which causes him to bite down on his tongue. Blood sprays quickly from the stump where his tongue once sat, and he grabs at his mouth with desperation.

“Whot tha fuk?” He says through a mess of fingers and blood.

“I warned you baby. I told you what would happen. It was only for me, not for any old skank.”

“You Bich?” He yells as he jumps dramatically to his feet, throwing his arms around like a poorly animated Raggedy Anne doll.

She drives a powerful boot into his stomach that sends him crashing to the ground, before he even has a chance to get his bearings she plants another boot into his throat and holds it there as he tried to desperately gasp for air. “That’s your second strike lover boy, and with me there is no third,” she says with a warped grin upon her face as she twisted her foot.

  • The Rebirth And The Odyssey – Short Story

The Rebirth And The Odyssey – Short Story

The suns rays ripped through the windows like knives cutting through cake. Hawthorn tightly closes his eyes while covering them his forearm. He feels the hot rays lash at him like a serpents tongue, each assault more volatile than the last until there is no longer pain, only the memory of what pain was. It’s within this moment that he realises something else has taken place, and he opens his eyes to find himself standing alone in the flight deck of his mighty Icarus.
“Beautiful, isn’t it,” a voice says. Hawthorn spins around to face an unusual looking man who sits proudly in the captain’s chair.
“Who are you, and what are you doing in my seat!”
The man laughs heartily, clapping his hands together with enthusiasm before glaring sternly towards Hawthorn.
“I am sitting in my seat not yours, and who I am is inconsequential at this point in time. But if you require something to help you sleep at night you can call me god,” he says with a broad smile.
    “D-D-D-Does that mean I’m d-d-dead?”
God screws his face up and leaps from the seat. “Not exactly, another few minutes and you’d be a right gonner for sure. But that’s before I decided to play well, play myself and interfere in the whole life ending bullshit. You now, keeping it real and all that jazz or whatever the kids say these days.
    “S-S-So what happens from here?”
God smiles, “An excellent question my good man. Have you heard of Odysseus and his quest to return home after the Trojan War?”
“W-W-What are you talking about?” Hawthorn hisses through clenched teeth.
“The Odyssey my friend, ten years to journey home where less that a handful of months it should’ve taken. Surely a captain of your rank knows the story.”
“S-Sure, I know what you’re talking about. I just don’t understand why you’re talking about!”
God smiles broader. “It’s about the journey, one that waits for you and your crew of misfits. This place is between what you’d call life and death. A place that offered redemption for those seeking it, or those I see worthy and I deem you worthy dear captain. So take it, and journey out towards the horizon, find your way home, become legend.”
Hawthorn turns and looks out towards the endless eons of space and feels his bottom lip tremble.
    “I’m dead, right?”
“Not yet captain,” God says as he rest a hand on Hawthorn’s shoulder and squeezes. “Out there is a chance at rebirth. Time here moves in micro moments, while your body hangs in the balance. Your journey may take decades or even centuries, but that matters little in the scheme of all creation. Go, create a new legend. Show Homer that his words were that of a child’s tale compared to yours. Become Odysseus and write your own nostos, and journey homeward.”

Infestation Inside Thy Walls – Short Story

“Petrified rat drippings. Are you sure that’s what it was? No I’m not calling you a liar, I just find it hard to,” he bites down on his bottom lip and rolls his eyes around in their sockets while taking the phone away from his ear as he listens to the field inspectors report.
“No, I understand your frustration with this issue just as I’m sure you can understand my disbelief with the information you have presented me with.”
He quickly pulls the phone away from his ear again and squeezes his lips together tightly while flexing the skin of his neck tightly.
“No, that doesn’t sound like something I would be aware of. If you had taken the time to study my company’s log book and procedure manual you would see task associated with cleanliness and hygiene are covered in great detail. When dealing wi… Please Mister Witherby, I have taken the time to allow you to speak at least you could afford me the decency as well so I can answer your questions, or are they merely statements disguised as questions?”
He grabs a handful of his head hair and pulls it tightly before he relaxes his grip and repeats.
“That’s total bullshit, I never said anything like that. All I asked was, are you sure that’s what it was. No, as I said just a second ago I am not making any accusations, I am just making a point to ensure then information you are giving me is unbiased and correct.”
His bottom lip quivers and his eyes widen with terror. “A-A-Are yo-yo-you sure that will be necessary? No, or course I’m not questioning your professionalism or ability, I am simply asking if that sort of measure would be overkill or not. No, I understand,” he says as he slowly takes the phone from his ear and places the handset onto its receiver.
“Well, what did he say?” A voice asks from elsewhere in the room. He turns to the darkness and catches a shimmer of his reflection in one of the many mirrors that cover the walls of the room.
“He said there’s an infestation in the walls, traps laced with bait he said would be needed. I asked him for something less cathartic, but he feels the only way to remove the infestation is through death.”
    “A you?”
“I feel that death is indeed the answer, but the infestation has been incorrectly attributed to the incorrect vermin,,” he says as a million eyes peer at him from out of the darkness.

  • A Game Of Chance – Short Story

A Game Of Chance – Short Story

“Savage does the beasts heart beat, but sorrowful is the echoes of its soul crying out for forgiveness. For you see children even though the beast is a vile killer of man, there lies more beneath its scared flesh. When the dawn first dropped and the beast was cursed it was not a beast, but a kind-hearted man. The man had fallen under the evil glare of a fascist dictator who was never denied what he wished for until the day he tried to take the man’s wife. He challenged the dictators request, then beat him with two fist. The dictator has never felt anger this way before for it was powered by shame and self ridicule. So he concocted a plan so ruthless and vile, to get his revenge on the kind-hearted man. He rode to the hills and found an old hag, he paid her in blood, he paid her in sex, he paid her with child for the magic he had requested. She gave him a flagon of her very best wine, and told him to give it to the kind-hearted man. The dictator flew back to his city on the wings of adrenaline, and forced his way in to the home of the man. He thrust the flagon at him, and told him to drink, but the man was not stupid, the man was not weak. The dictator screamed for forgiveness, he screamed for a chance to make things right and all the man had to do was take a drink. So the man made him a deal, a game of card would they play, and the loose would drink from the ox skin flagon. The dictator was a fool, easily swayed and took the man’s challenge for the game to be played. The cards were dealt and the hand was played and the loser, was how the beast was made. So the moral is my dear boy, don’t challenge for what you can’t have,” the old man says as he take a drag of cigarette.
    “Can I ask a question?”
    “Of course.”
“You said at the beginning that the beast wasn’t always a vile killer, yet the dictator seemed a nasty man.”
“I never says the dictator lost, you just assumed so.”

  • Never Avoid Paying The Bill – Short Story

Never Avoid Paying The Bill – Short Story

“It’s called, why don’t you get the fuck out of my face,” Hamish says as he glares at Devon with hate filled eyes.
Devon holds his hands in the air and laughs nervously. “I don’t see why you just couldn’t of said it was none of my business instead of being such a pig fucker. I only asked what it is, not where you were at six o’clock on the twelfth of February.”
“Why the fuck do you want to know about where I was on the twelfth of February?”
    Devon rolls his eyes and let’s out a sigh. “I don’t, I was…”
“If you didn’t, you wouldn’t of asked,”’Hamish says as he leaps to his feet and slams Devon against the wall. “What the fuck is your angle?”
“I’VE GOT NO FUCKING ANGLE! STOP BEING SO PARANOID YOU CUNT, AND LET ME GO!”
Hamish stares deathly into Devon’s eyes before relaxing his grip and taking several steps backwards.
“You’re playing some game, and once I find out why, I’ll skin you for it,” he says as he wipes the saliva from his mouth, his eyes catch the glistening brightness of the red liquid and they widen with fear. He looks up at the smiling Devon and feels the darkness below his feet pull him downwards. “W-W-What have you done?” He says weakly before he collapses silently to the ground.
“You? You did everything my dear boy, and it’s now time to pay the awaiting bill,” Devon says with a broad smile.

Tribulations Of The Child – Short Story

The door swings open and he charges through swinging wildly with the axe.
“Show yourself, you slimy bastard!” He screams as his eyes dark around the darkened room.
“What makes you think someone of your caliber would be able to see the true me?” A voice hisses from the darkness.
“So full of yourself, aren’t you? It sickens me to think I once idolize all that you are. But no more will I be a thrall to your sickness, instead I will be a redeemer of the wickedness you have spread across the lands.”
“Idolized me?” The voice says with a cold rusty laugh. “Poor child, without you there would be no me. I am all you made me to be, no more, no less. Just because you now have a conscious, doesn’t mean I should. For if you had wished me to be ladened with such sorrowful depravity you would’ve done so.”
“LIAR! You are not my creation, I am yours!” He screams at the darkness.
“How proud a man you make of me father. For the prince of lies,” the voice says as the darkness around him is sucked together in the center of the room and slowly begins to take the form of a humanoid figure.
“Go back to hell!” He screams as he drives the axe into the figure, passing through it like it was smoke. Saliva sprays from his mouth as he lets out an exhausted breath through clenched teeth.
He leaps to his feet and grips the axes handle tightly then turns to surprisingly face himself.
“As I was saying, for if I am the prince of lies, then you my father are the king,”

Castrate Your Words – Short Story

“I’m telling you it is the Dagger of Kanthar, it even has a crack along the bone handle that is mentioned in the Arous tablet and there is only a select few who know of the tablets existence. So in answer to your question, yes it is real and yes I will use it if you force my hand,” Amniet says as she tightens her grip on the bone handle of the blade.
“Child please, the demons inside the blade are corrupting you. Lay the vile thing on the ground and be at peace with us all.”
“How I love your optimism, but it is ill advised. Tomorrow is bathed in the blood of today Farrow, as is your forever child,” she says, locked her lips as a demented smile creep upon her face. Farrow’s eyes grow wide with surprise, and she can see the fear.
“You didn’t know I knew, did you?”
“I-I-I, I have no idea what you’re talking about, release the girl and be gone foul odors of past vile fiends!”
She laughs a wildly erratic slather of insanity, before twisting her head to the side and allowing her eyes to cross in the middle before slowly, and separately coming to rest upon him. “Be gone foul odors of past vile fiends? Are you auditioning for and episode of some game show where you have to find many different words that mean almost the same thing, or are you just a wordsmith member of the over achievers club?”
“You will STOP THIS!” Farrow screams out as he holds his hands a now glowing amulet into the air. “YOU WILL RELEASE HER, AND THEN YOU WILL CRAWL BACK TO WHEREVER YOU CAME!”
“No,” she says as she smiles a mouthful of dull grey teeth and flicks her tongue dramatically over them.
    “Y-Y-You can’t deny the w….”
She cackles with laughter as her eyes sink into her head, and her skin decays in front of them. “I deny all who oppose my reign!” She bellows as she launches her attack.

  • Don’t Ignore My Words – Short Story

Don’t Ignore My Words – Short Story

“I never dreamed it would be like this, I never knew these sort of feelings could be possible.” Talrone says with a bemused smile planted across his face.
“Seven centuries of constant ridicule as the Far’Zk’Khan relentlessly hunted mankind down like dogs. Seven centuries where your species have almost become extinct through the known universe. Seven centuries of constantly looking over your shoulder in fear of death waiting around the corner. Simple things are something you have never had the chance to feel let alone enjoy, so sit and experience all the feelings that come without fear,” she says as she runs a hand through his soft, silky nut-brown mop of hair.
“Is this how everyday is for you?”’he asks as he stares into her huge orange eyes, her skin darkens to a dark purple as she lets out a muffled laugh.
“What’s so funny?” He asks in surprise.
“Nothing, honestly. It’s just your so cute.”
He laughs nervously and stares back up at the three moons as they slowly drift overhead.
A knock interrupts the blissful silence and three large humanoid looking creatures storm into the room.
She quickly leaps to her feet letting out a high-pitched shriek. “Shankar, what is the meaning of this! HOW DARE YOU ENTER MY PERSONAL CHAMBERS UNINVITED!”
“I am sorry my princess but your father has requested your presence,” Shankar says as they fall to their knees and bow their heads.
She stares at them for a few moments before turning back toward Talrone. “Excuse me, Daddy hates to be left waiting. I expect you to be rested and ready when I get back,” she says with a smile as she blows him a kiss and marches out of the room with the Shankar and the other two, slamming the door behind them.
Talrone smiles to himself as he stretches himself out, in the comfortable bed.
“Don’t get too comfortable,” a voice says from elsewhere in the room. Talrone arches his head up and looks around the enormous room, but finds no owner of the voice.
“Hello? I-I-Is anyone there?” He calls out.
“Over here!” The voice calls out, the time Talrone spots the boney waving arm of its owner.
    “W-W-Who are you!”
“That doesn’t matter, just listen to me and get out of here while you can.”
Talrone laughs, “And give up this? I’d have to be a fool!”
“You’re a fool if you stay! Believe me, if I had the chance all over again I’d run to the hills and never look back. She’s more twisted than a rubber band stuck to a merry-go-round.”
    “W-W-What are you saying?”
“I’m saying run, run before it’s too late!” He says as the door fly’s  open and she prances back in.
“How’s my little man?” She asks with a smile as she leaps on the bed and grips his penis tightly. “Are you going to be a good boy and get this thing ready to be used, or am I going to have to show you how naughty boys are punished?” She says as her grip tightens and he sucks in a breath as his mind races with fear.

  • Across The Skyline – Short Story

Across The Skyline – Short Story

As the engine explodes in a mess of reds and blues, Lakcin feels his body melt away around him as if a powerful sedative had just been injected into his blood system. His ears pop with static, a voice screams his name then nonsensical words spin round on a loop, somehow stuck in his head. After what seems like an eternity pain fills every faucet of his being, then he collapses to the ships metallic floor. He draws breath after breath into his lungs, each burning more than the last until finally he punches desperately at his chest trying to knock it free. Static fills his ears once more followed by disembodied voices screaming his name.
“I’m through,” he says through clenched teeth.
    “How do y-y-yzzzz…zzzakkkkk…zzzzou f-f-fzzzzzzzeel?”
“Like I want to throw up.”
    “Where a-a-azzzzzzzz….. zzzzakkkkk… zzzzre you?”
He uneasily gets to his feet, then tumbled back to the floor, emptying the contents of his stomach onto the ground before him.
“Fucking pussy, get up and do this,” he growls viciously to himself as he forces himself back up to his feet, then staggers over towards a console. He slowly pushes several buttons as other computers come to life, followed by a holographic star chart displayed in front of him. “I’m still in the Soldizer Qudrant, except there seems to be some distortion of the area map. Computer magnify sector 237AA.” The image explodes forwards, encompassing him standing in a virtual wide rod of space. His eyes widen as he witness something large move across the emptiness, towards him.
“I found it,” he whispers softly.
“Come again Larzzzzzzzark……..zzzzaaakkkkk…. zzze can’t rezzzzzzarrrkkk……..” then silence.
“Ranger One, please repeat your last message,” he calls out then waits as silence continues to be his only reply.
“Ranger One, do you read me?” He calls out as he feels something watching him and spins around in the world of virtual space, to lock eyes with the planet sized creature as it continues to make its way toward him, slowly opening its gigantic mouth.

Whatever Needs To Be Done – Short Story

He places the docket book down onto the bench and looks over towards her. “You know that’s impossible, don’t you?” He says as a nervous smile twitches across his face and his cheeks glow red.
“I remember you saying nothing is impossible for you when you walked into my shop six months ago. Now I see that was a lie,” she says with a pout.
He laughs, “Now your just twisting my words out of context. I said there’s nothing I can’t do to help your business become a better version of the one you have in your head, not this, this insanity you’re asking of me. You must be mad to even contemplate asking such a question.”
“Don’t treat me like one of your bimbos Jethro. I know you have ties to others who make a living out of breaking knee caps and splitting skulls. Therefore what I’m asking is nothing that is not within your vast expanse of worldly tools.”
“I can assure you that whatever ties you think I have to this supposed criminal element you believe I am in cahoots with is nothing more than some twisted fictional story inside you warped little mind. I may do many things to keep accounts, but I can assure you that what you are asking is something I have no desire to be involved with,” he says as he leaps to his feet and stares sternly down towards her.
    “I-I-I, I’m sorry I ass…”
“You assumed wrong!” He yells as he slams a card down on the table before her and storms out of the room leaving her alone in silence. She places a nervous, shaking hand to her chest and takes a deep breath before picking up the plain white card. She looks up at the doorway and then back to the phone number that is printed on the card. Several minutes pass before she builds up enough courage to dial the number, that rings once before it’s answered.
“Who do you want me to take care of?” A deep voice asks.
    “I-I-I, I want my ex-husband to suffer, I wa…”
“I don’t care to know your reasons. In three days you will meet me at the following location with a deposit for my services of twenty thousand dollars, failure to adhere to the rules will see your deposit forfeited. If you attempt to renege or renegotiate the arrangement you will forfeit your deposit and we will begin anew. If you attempt to screw me over, you will forfeit the deposit and your life. Do you understand?”
    “Y-Y-Yes, I unde….”
“Good. Now how good is your memory?”

Give Me Your Wings Of Gold – Short Story

“Wayward names are but granules of sand in my face, they do not hurt nor do they injure. Yet this knife remarkably has the opposite effect, for it can whisper sweet nothings in your ear as it impales you upon it’s sharp blade,” he says with a wry smile across his face. “Fight me no more Laurence. Accept your fate and be one with me darkness.”

Laurence forces a laugh to escape his lips and wearily looks up towards him. “I accept nothing. Your wayward journey of depravity ends tonight, by my hands. I am the voice of all your victims. I am the beating hearts of their families. I am your judge, jury and executioner. So spare me your righteousness Walter, and drop the knife!” He says as he uneasily raises the revolver. Walter’s eyes widen and his teeth clamp shut, grinding into each other like finger along a blackboard.

“This is not how it ends Detective, you do not come in and save the day. I am an immortal being spared the infin….” His words are cut short as three well placed shots tear into his skull. His eyes emptily stare towards Laurence as they slowly roll up into his head and he falls forward lifeless.

“Your infinity is over, there was nothing special about you. You murdering piece of shit!” Laurence hisses as he collapses to the floor and stares up at the cobweb ridden ceiling clutching his side as he tries to stop the blood from escaping his body. Static fills the air as his two-way comes to life suddenly, causing him to jump.

“Balmer do you copy. I repeat, do you copy?” A voice cries out from the other end. He fumbles around with the radios clip before finally pulling it free, and presses it against his lips.

“I hear you,” He grimaces into the receiver.

“Thank Christ, we’ve been trying to reach you for the last hour. What’s your situation? Have you located Garner?”

“He’s not going to be bothering anyone ev…” his worlds freeze in his throat as Garner stands above him, a grin across his face from ear to ear, blood still running down his face from the bullet holes.

“BOO!” He hisses as he drives the knife’s blade downward.

Take The Bate – Short Story

He grips the dirt tightly, pulling handfuls of grass and weeds from their intertwined homes. The saliva drips heavily into the dirt, impacting upon the microscopic world with a ferociousness unseen. His eyes dart upwards as they lock with her and she smiles.
    “Did that hurt?”
“FUCK YOU!” He screams, gritting his teeth together in anger as he forces himself onto his knees.
“Really, is that all you have to say? I’ve just fucking killed you, and you have nothing but obscenities to say!” She growls as she grips him by a handful of hair and pulls his head back, placing the blade of a large, ancient knife to his throat. “For too long have I been set back by fools like you. For too long have I been a pawn instead of a queen. For too long have I allowed this, but today I take back who I am. Today I become that which I was meant to be!” She says as she slices the blade across his throat, showering the air before him in a deep red. He gasps violently as he tries in vain to draw a breath, and then falls motionless in her hands.
“Did you really have to do that?” A voice says sharply from somewhere in the darkness behind her.
    “Did it get your attention?”
“I am here, am I not?”
“Then Yes, I did have to do it,” she says with a smile.
“You could’ve called like you have every other time, have I ever ignored your call before?”
“But this way was so much fun and besides, if I had done things the normal way, you would probably seen me coming.”
“Seen you coming? I fail to understand what you mean by that?” He says as a hoofed leg steps out from the darkness.
“I mean tricking the king of lies into showing his face in a place he normally wouldn’t is a hard job, unless you allow him to concentrate on something entirely separate, such as me,” she says with a beaming smile, as he screams in pain.

Your Deceitful Eyes – Short Story

“You mean to tell me after all these years, you still don’t know the answer to the only real question you ever asked me?” Bethany says as she grips the doors handle tightly and stands silently waiting for him to answer.
“I-I-I, I don’t know what to believe anymore. I though I did. I-I-I thought I knew what was real and was wasn’t, but over the last few months you’ve become a different person. You’ve betrayed my trust at every chance and when I ask, when I try to reach out to you, you push me away with more lies.”
“You choose to mistrust me. You choose to take my answers as lies instead of the truth as they are intended. Open your eyes before it’s too late and you lose me forever,” she says as a tear runs down her cheek.
“I lost you a long time ago Bethany, I just never knew it.”
“Then there is nothing left for me here,” she says as her bottom lip trembles.
“Only you can decide that,” he replies as he gently grips her shoulder and squeezes, he feels her muscles tighten up beneath his grip, and quickly releases his hold as he stumbles backwards, aim coursing up how arm and into the back of his skull.
“W-W-What have YOU DONE!” He screams as he collapses to the floor in a mess of arms and legs, the very muscles he once commanded proudly over are now twisted deformed pockets of pain across his body.
She turns around slowly, a smile of wickedness now spread across her face. Her tongue flicks out from her mouth and licks over her lips quickly like a frogs tongue catching a fly, leaving a silver glistening trail of slime over them.
“I have done nothing you have not asked for. I have done nothing you have not deserved. You have chosen how this is to end. You have chosen to treat me like the enemy I am not. You have defiled all that we were, all that we had with your pathetically small limp piece of flesh between your legs. Take this time to agonise over all that you have decided, and welcome the warm forever grip of death when it comes for you, for this is what you have chosen. For this is what you welcomed into your life when you laid with a beast from a nightmare of your own making.”

It’s All About Presentation – Short Story

“I don’t give a flying fuck what Sanderson said, I want then all removed NOW!” Burkwiz yells as he shoves a pile of books and paper to the floor from Thornton’s desk.
    “Don’t you think you’re overacting somewhat? I mean we…..”
“The very fabric of what is hangs in the balance and you ask me if I’m overreacting! You need to take another look outside and question yourself. The very essence of what is, is collapsing in on itself. Pockets of reality are disappearing like someone has taken a huge fucking eraser and rubbed shit out like it was drawn on paper. My very withheld reaction to the complex and overly complicated matter is if I was to be honest, below the level of fear that this sort of thing requires, so how dare you stand there and speak to me like I’m acting like I’m some type of mad man!”
“But you are, don’t you see that! You’re standing in front of me, ranting wildly about end of the world scenarios that you claim are taking place right now with only your boxer shorts and a grease stained wifebeater on. Had you taken the time to dress, shave and present valid information with your wild story I may have been inclined to believe your story, but because you presented me with total and utter insanity on a stick I care not for what you have to say.”
Burkwiz stand there in silence as he stares blankly at Thornton. “A-A-Are you serious? I call you here with the most important new anyone has ever had to give you, in your life, and you‘re concerned that I didn’t dress for the occasion? Do you realize how INSANE you sound?”
“At least I’m dressed,” Thornton replies as he smiles a wicked smile.

  • Proof Of A Lie – Short Story

Proof Of A Lie – Short Story

“You do know it’s all a load of baloney, right?” He says with a wicked smirk across his face.
“How do you know that for a fact? You mightn’t have witness anything angelic yet, but it doesn’t mean it’s all lies.”
“Of course it does. If you can disprove one thing, then you can disprove it all. No matter how many people sit out there in their nice little world of imagination, a lie is a lie no matter how pretty you dress it up,” Calvert says as he puffs out his chest proudly.
“So disprove it,” Jenkins quickly blurts out.
He laughs and leans back. “Why are you so keen on me giving you facts? For all I know you’re some tree hugging death-bed wanna be who’s looking to cause as much trouble as he can before the endless darkness comes to embrace you.”
Jenkins leans back in his seat, his face pale. “H-H-How did you know?”
“When was the last time you looking in the mirror at yourself, when I say looked at yourself I mean REALLY looked at yourself?”
“Is it that obvious?” Jenkins says softly as he look to the ground.
“Mate, you wouldn’t believe how obvious. Cancer?”
“Stage three, my body’s riddled with the fucking stuff.”
“And you’re angry at the old lord and savior for it all?”
“Of course I am!” Jenkins screams as he leaps to his feet. “I’ve devoted everything, my whole life to his word and spreading it to others. I’ve gone without because that is what he has asked of me. I have been a good, loyal follower and he now curses me with this!”
“So you want to disprove his existence to make yourself feel somewhat better? To make yourself feel less used and abused by someone who doesn’t care for what you have done for him, who doesn’t care for what you have sacrificed to live by his law, am I close?”
“Yes, oh god yes. I need to know he doesn’t exists, I need to know when I pass over there is nothing to be rewarded for, there is no un-hearing god to compel my need for satisfaction to. I need to know that I have wasted my life on a lie.”
“So why did you come here? Why did you come to see me?”
“B-B-Because they say you know the truth. They say you have proof of the lies, and for a price you will show it,” Jenkins says as he places a yellow envelope in the table between them and slides it toward Calvert. “It’s everything I have, three hundred and seventy-nine thousand. Please, show me your proof.”
Calvert places a hand on the envelope, and picks it up from the table as he meets Jenkins’ desperate stare with his own before smiling once more.
Calvert then places a well-worn book on the table before him and gently opens it. “I’ll start with what I can prove first and work my way backwards from there. But before I start, let me say this whole experience is going to suck, for you anyway.”

  • Bad Day – Easter’s Three Wise Guys – Short Story

Bad Day – Easter’s Three Wise Guys – Short Story

Where do I start? I know asking you makes no sense as I’m the one telling the story and you, you don’t really know where it’s supposed to begin. So I’ll start where it makes the most sense. I’ll start the handful of memories involving bathroom blow jobs, home cooked meals that always seems to taste like dirty socks and ice cream buckets used as helmets, because that’s all I have to remind me of Terri.
She wasn’t stunning, and she didn’t stop cars in the street, but she was as close to the perfect piece of the puzzle that I needed to have in my life at the time, and I enjoyed every piece of her. I guess you forget the good things when they go bad, and we went bad like a ham sandwich left in some glad-wrap and shoved underneath the front seat of old faithful only to be discovered some months later all green and slimy.
I don’t know how I felt when I found out she was dead, I think I was sad although I wasn’t sure if it was because she was dead or because I never got to keep that promise I made to her six long years ago.
Two days later when I received a letter in the mail I almost spat my chips over myself, because I recognised the writing on the front of the envelope as hers.
I opened it up and read the fucking thing from top to bottom, each word wrapped into the next one like they had been ran though a rhyming dictionary at high-speed only to have some major malfunction somewhere in the middle and started throwing out random words just for the fucking hell of it. I’m not going to go into great detail about the letter because I truly didn’t care about what it said, I just wanted to know why it existed. The last line read like it was clipped out of some espionage novel, and she was the informant facing the firing squad, while she still desperately held our hope that the super spy would swoop in and pull her out of the fire just in time.
This wasn’t the case for her, she faced the firing squad and took the bullet square in the old scone, while I waiting ignorantly for the post office to continue it’s dismal retardation of the postal system in our country, by sending a letter that was dropped off a few miles away, to another state by plane only to come back two days later to be delivered at my door. Had the system been what it was when things weren’t all about sucking money from the people who support your business by utilizing it for what services you are supposed to supply, I would’ve got the letter with enough time to save her life and stop the people who were ultimately killed her.
Sure you can argue the world over that she could’ve called or sent a text message, or failing that she could’ve sent an email. But you’re surmising that she had this information about me in the first place, or that I had these service when I may or may not.
Anyway that is all not what this conversation is about. What it’s about it how life can move quickly around us, when we sometimes need to stop and take that moment to reflect on not all the bad things that befall us in life, but the things that make us smile. That make us laugh. That make us who we are, then in doing all that we will see who makes these things happen for us, and how important that are to us.
Now I know this conversation is getting boring, it was for all those fucks as well, when I lined them up, one by one and made them cry over what they had done.
Terri wasn’t a bad girl, she want that good either. But she didn’t deserve to die in a back ally gutter, dressed up like a crack whore so they could cover up the face she’d found out the local drag kingpin Franki Salamore was on the way out, thanks in part to Pattie Dezi and a few hundred kilos of Ice.
When I read Terri’s letter I didn’t let the bullshit about us get in the way of what she was trying to say, I could’ve and that would’ve been nothing overall. But when I saw Pattie’s name plastered at the bottom I knew the night was going to be a long one.
I made a few calls as I pulled my targets from the mud. Once I had the final three names I made sure Killdone wasn’t in bed with any of the shit heads, and he didn’t have a problem with me taking personal time, then I started to clean up a mess I should’ve had the chance to do days ago before Terri lost her life.
Vince Hallwot was the first piece of shit I visited, they call him meat stack, I’m assuming it wasn’t because he had a big piece of man sausage between his legs, because he didn’t. I found out as the night went on it was because he liked being the ham in between the buns, one upstairs and the other downstairs. He cried for what seemed like forever, about his kids, how his wife won’t be able to handle the news of his infidelities, especially with the same sex. I told him to hold onto those memories, to savor them, for they are what make him the man he is today. I used a blur butter knife to cut his cock off, before shoving it up his gaping arse hole. He sobbed as his life drained from the car wreck that was his genitals, begging for death while I made him watch his own cries of ecstasy as I played him randomly selected tapes from his personal home erotica collection.
Sydney Babb was the second piece of shit I had to pass though my digestive system tonight, he was all corn. I played with my food for a good hour before I started slicing piece off, he didn’t do much at first and hardly screamed at all, which impressed me to no end. It wasn’t until I dragged in his whore of a mother and put a bullet through her skull in front of him. I couldn’t shut him up after that, fucker screamed at me non stop. He threatened my life, the lives of everyone I’d ever met, anyone I’d ever fucked or wanted to fuck, and anyone who was related to me regardless of it by blood or marriage. I applauded his threats and made a few uncomfortable comments about the frothy saliva that was forming around his mouth, that didn’t seem to dent his now abusive, volatile demure. So I dragged out his Father and made him clean his dead wife’s cunt out before I placed a bullet in his head as well. Through all the snot, tears and death threats I think Sydney and I really started to bond somewhere in the middle of it all, so when I sliced his throat I almost couldn’t bear to watch the life drain from his eyes.
As I was rearranging the bodies to make
It seem even more fucked up that it already seems I received a phone call from Killdone, he said he had a present waiting at Zeppa’s Pizzeria for me and I didn’t need to bring my wallet as everything was free. I was surprised to see you sitting here all alone when I walked in, I was even more surprised to find your seat wired and the manky aroma of shit and piss wafting from you.
Killdone said I earned this, and to consider you a well deserved bonus, cheap fuck. I could’ve found you myself and had my fun, now Killdone’s turned it into a favour that’ll owe him one day, used shit like this to his advantage, which is why I hate the old bastard.
Anyway, I’ll deal with that hand when it comes into play, because right now it’s all about you, and believe me after I’m finished with you you’re not going to rise again after three days and walk on fucking water.

  • Silently The Pot Stirs – Short Story

Silently The Pot Stirs – Short Story

As Davis falls to the floor she twisted around and drives the knifes blade into Fillmore’s chest. For endless moments they stand there, locked in a loop of nothingness as their souls almost touch, and then they part as he tumbles to the ground lifeless.
“Armatures,” she hisses under her breath.
“You may call them that, but I like to call them a distraction,” a deep dry voice says from behind her seconds before she feels the barrel of a revolver press against the back of her head.
“I should’ve know. They didn’t seem like they were trying.”
“your modesty sickens me Samantha. These fools tried their best believe me, you are just that good. Of course I trained you to be what you are, so there shouldn’t be any doubts about your skills.”
    “You haven’t changed.”
“None of us do my dear, we just weave our way through existence in the hope to one day find something more or less of what we desire to find in the unsettling finite of today and tomorrow.”
“I forgot how endless your droning can be. Is there a reason you have reached out to me in this manner?” She says as her eyes search the room in front of her for something to give her an advantage.
“What make you think I want anything from you?”
“You lead me to this location on false pretenses, have a couple of amateur nobody’s act as a random plot device to throw me off guard and then put a gun to my head. If you wanted nothing it would’ve been a bullet, not the gun. That’s what tells me you want something.”
He allows himself to smile. “You are by far my favorite of all I have shaped. Regardless of the time that has passed since we last stood together in a room, you still see through what is and look for what can be.”
“Just tell me what you want, so we can put an end to this.”
“I need you to find out who killed me,” he whispers in her ear. She leaps up with a gasp, sweat dripping from her body, and her heart almost beating out of her chest. She looks around the silent room, searching the darkness, before slowly lowering herself onto the bed once again as she stares silently at the roof.
“I’ve got to stop eating bananas before bed,” she says softly to herself.

  • The Endless Snake – Short Story

The Endless Snake – Short Story

David takes a long agonising breath and smiles weakly before looking up into Samantha’s narrowing eyes. “It was what it was, wasn’t it?” He says.
“If you mean nothing, yes it was. A means to an end you might say, for the road to vengeance drags all manner of beasts within, some guilty others innocent, the serpent of infinity feeds itself upon this,” she replies, her face now void of emotion.
“The infinity serpent? I knew you were unhinged when we first met, but I never took you for a rune devotee,” he says as he coughs up a mouthful of blood.
“We are one with all, we seek to enlighten those who are not. Unfortunately for you our path have crossed in such a way where your death serves an important purpose for our path of vengeance. Maybe had that not been the road we met upon, you could’ve joined us in our journey through nirvana.”
“Honey no matter how we met I still would gift you with the same reply. Fuck off!”
She smiles and uncrosses her legs as she get up from the chair. “How crude a remark, yet fitting for how far you must fall. When Sylvia finds you, it will crush her. Her life will spin violently downward as she tries to make peace with what your death means not only to her, but what it means to her world as s whole. It will be simply marvelous, and then I will swoop in when her world seems at its darkest, offering her a way back into the light.”
“W-W-What the fuck are you talking an-ab-about?” He stutters weakly.
“Infinity my dear sweet man, the endless journey of an ending that leads into the next, and the next after that. One death that begins the downfall of another, that then cross into another. Like you my silly fool,” she says looking down at David with an evil grin upon her face. “When Justin died and you discovered his body you lost focus, your life lost meaning and you tried to find something to give it that which you believed it needed. But there was nothing that could replace what was lost, what you had seen for the snake had bitten you, like it has now bitten Sylvia. Endless, and into infinity.”
